NBC Sets AMERICA'S GOT TALENT Quarterfinals, LAW & ORDER Episodes
THE WALL and DATELINE NBC round out a schedule featuring Michelle Pfeiffer and Rhea Seehorn as Fallon guests.
NBC has released its primetime schedule for the period of Thursday, August 20, 2026 through Wednesday, September 9, 2026, featuring the quarterfinals rounds of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, new episodes of LAW & ORDER and LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, THE WALL, DATELINE NBC, and appearances by Michelle Pfeiffer and Rhea Seehorn on THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING Jimmy Fallon.
The AMERICA'S GOT TALENT quarterfinals continue the show's live rounds, with eleven acts taking the stage each week and a Live Show Golden Buzzer sending one act directly to the Finals. America can vote for their three favorite acts to advance using TikTok, the 'AGT' app, and NBC.com. Quarterfinals 1 airs Friday, August 21 with results the following Saturday, August 22; Quarterfinals 2 airs Tuesday, August 25 with results Wednesday, August 26; Quarterfinals 3 airs Tuesday, September 1 with results Wednesday, September 2; and Quarterfinals 4, the final week of Live Quarterfinals, airs Tuesday, September 8 with results the same night.
THE WALL also continues its run, including an episode marking the show's 100th episode on Monday, August 24, in which 'Ellie, a dance teacher from Arkansas, honored her late grandfather by baking 600 pies and raising more than $20,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Now she and her husband, Nick, vie for a a life-changing win.' A subsequent episode airing Monday, August 31 features 'Siblings Cydney and Jordan, from Fort Wayne, Ind., discovered their voices in the Voices of Unity Children's Choir. Years later, they're helping young singers do the same. Now they play the Wall for a chance at life-changing money.'
THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING Jimmy Fallon airs an original episode Thursday, August 20 featuring Michelle Pfeiffer, Rhea Seehorn, and Dexter and the Moonrocks. PASSWORD episodes across the schedule pair Jimmy Fallon with celebrity guests, hosted by Keke Palmer, with players guessing secret passwords using one-word clues for a chance to win up to $25,000. Guests include Karamo Brown on Tuesday, August 25; Connie Britton on Sunday, August 30; and two episodes on Tuesday, September 1 featuring Savannah Guthrie, titled 'Like Nails on a Chalkboard' and 'What Beats Scissors.'
LAW & ORDER airs several episodes across the schedule. On Thursday, August 20, 'When a rich CEO is murdered the night before his wedding, Riley and Walker suspect the key to an arrest are the details of the victim's will. Price and Maroun argue the benefits and drawbacks of damaging the suspect's reputation in court.' On Thursday, August 27, 'Riley and Walker must find the motive behind a flight investigator's murder. When Walker's police work is questioned in court, Price and Maroun change tactics and try to put the defendant's state of mind on trial,' followed the same night by 'After a woman's body is discovered in a suitcase, Price and Maroun disagree over the charges to bring against the prime suspect. Riley faces scrutiny when he's involved in an on-duty car accident.' On Thursday, September 3, 'After a hero fire chief is found dead, Riley and Walker must break through his squad's closed ranks to uncover the truth. When the defense presents a plausible alternate timeline of events, Price and Maroun must fight to win the jury over,' followed by 'The murder of a military hero draws the FBI into Brady's investigation. As political pressure rises during Baxter's re-election campaign, Price and Maroun worry that a series of unusual courtroom rulings mean the judge is in the defendant's pocket.'
LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT episodes include, on Thursday, August 20, 'A mysterious death in a hotel leads the squad into the world of professional fighting. Benson tries to convince a victim to come forward for the sake of his friend,' followed by 'An unconscious and injured teen abandoned outside a hospital sends the SVU on a search for the people who left her there. Benson faces serious consequences when she chooses to protect a victim's secret under the pressure of cross-examination.' On Thursday, September 3, 'A procedural mistake made during the rescue of a kidnapped boy causes the case to collapse in court. As Griffin gets closer to the truth about Tynan, he finds himself in grave danger.'
CHICAGO FIRE and CHICAGO PD also appear in the schedule. On Wednesday, August 26, CHICAGO PD's episode features 'Ruzek's investigation into a mysterious VHS tape found among his father's belongings has unexpected consequences, sending the Intelligence Unit scrambling to uncover the truth behind a cold case.' On Wednesday, September 2, CHICAGO FIRE's episode notes 'Severide is forced to crack open a cold case buried for decades. A routine call hits too close to home for Novak,' while CHICAGO PD's episode that night features 'Imani struggles to maintain her composure when a new lead reignites her investigation into her sister's disappearance.'
AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR continues its National Finals across the schedule, including Monday, August 24, where 'The competition continues on the third night of the National Finals. The remaining ninjas from across the country face off in a series of races with the hopes of being crowned champion,' and Monday, August 31, where 'It's down to the wire on the last night of the National Finals where only one ninja can be crowned champion. The top four women competitors vie for the title in a new bonus women's tournament.'
