A highly anticipated reunion of the five bandmembers of *NSYNC Sunday night became one of the highlights of the VMA's on MTV. The hottest boy band of the 2000's appeared for the first time in 10 years for a 30-second performance of their hit single, 'Bye Bye Bye.'

Appearing on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning radio show following the performance, Chavez commented "It was just about five guys who were great friends, who spent 10 or 15 years together touring. We wanted to give that back to our fans, but we were there mainly to support Justin."

Now, Eonline reports that the singer's performance has sparked a strong interest in reigniting his singing career as he is flooded with phone calls requesting him to return to the recording studio.

"Everyone saw that he can sing his ass off still, he looks great and he can dance," a source told the site. "They remembered that he has an amazing voice, that he was 'N Sync's soul guy."

Chasez and Justin Timberlake were the lead singers of the popular boy band. Since disbanding the group, Chasez has spent his time working behind the scenes following the release of his own solo album, Schizophrenia, in 2004. Revealed the source, "He has more music that he never released."
