"We all grew up watching MTV and looking up to the artists who win Woodie Awards, said Zac Barnett of the American Authors. "So the fact that we get to be a part of the performance aspect now is really exciting!"

"We are massively excited to be involved with the Woodies this year. Not only because of the incredible list of bands that has preceded us, but because of the amazingly talented people we'll share the stage with this year," said Wild Cub singer/guitarist Keegan DeWitt. "It's a total honor to be part of that and we're looking forward to it."

Rapper and MTV Artist to Watch Iggy Azalea, who was raised in rural Australia, has been touted as one of the most promising MCs with cosigns not only from King of the South T.I.. but also from rap royalty like Dr. Dre to Snoop Dogg. In 2012, she became the first ever woman to be named to XXL's "Freshman List." Following her Woodie Awards performance, she will release her debut album, "The New Classic" on April 15. The album includes past singles "Work," "Fancy" and "Change Your Life."

21-year old UK singer Sam Smith blazed into 2014 as the first and only male winner of the esteemed BRITs Critic's Choice Award as well as BBC Sound of 2014 prize. His highly anticipated debut, In The Lonely Hour, is due June 2014 (Capitol Records), yet his Nirvana EP has set the tone and propelled him onto countless "Ones to Watch 2014" lists. Smith is also nominated for both a "Breaking Woodie" award and a "Cover Woodie" award. Check out the list of the "2014 mtvU Woodie Awards" nominees here.

A debut TV performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and additional press coverage from Billboard, Alternative Press, Paste, and MAGNET brought increased awareness, and the band's electrifying live show has established Wild Cub as a force.
