CNBC Sets Fall Primetime Schedule

CNBC − the fastest-growing cable network among P18-49 and P25-54 in Primetime − today unveiled its fall Primetime programming lineup which includes CNBC's popular original series The Profit and The Car Chasers and new originalTHE FILTHY RICH GUIDE. The network also announced expanded plans to air its exclusive off-network cable run of ABC's Shark Tank Monday through Friday beginning September 22nd. SHARK TANKcurrently airs Tuesdays ("Shark Tank Tuesdays") at 8 & 9 pm ET/PT on CNBC. The announcements were made today by Jim Ackerman, Senior Vice President of Primetime Alternative, CNBC.

"'The Profit' and 'Shark Tank' have helped transform CNBC's Tuesday night lineup into appointment television and also delivered a younger audience to the network in primetime," said Ackerman. "Our robust fall lineup speaks to our commitment to building on this positive momentum."

New and Returning Original Series:

THE FILTHY RICH GUIDE, a new series to join the Primetime lineup, premieres Wednesday, October 1st at 10PM ET/PT and consists of five half-hour episodes. THE FILTHY RICH GUIDE is a fun, fast-paced guide that catalogues the ways in which the .01 percent spend their money. The series is an insider look at a world where party never ends, the cash flow doesn't stop, and the hi-tech toys are the biggest and most expensive in the world. From secret worlds, to outrageous mansions, to private islands, it's the Filthy Rich Guide to the best that (a ridiculous amount of) money can buy. THE FILTHY RICH GUIDE is produced for CNBC by Leopard USA with Dave Hamilton and Dan Taberski serving as executive producers.

THE PROFIT returns Tuesday, October 14 at 10PM ET/PT with 10 new episodes including a special follow-up episode on many of the businesses from seasons one and two. The Profit follows self-made millionaire and serial entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis as he saves struggling businesses while investing his own cash in the process. Over 14 episodes, Marcus Lemonis has invested more than $7 million in small businesses featured on the series. In the new episodes, Lemonis meets with businesses across the country including a coffee company in Greenville, SC, a clothing label from New York, NY and a sports novelty business in Coopersburg, PA, among others. The Profit is produced for CNBC by Machete Productions with Amber Mazzola serving as executive producer.

THE CAR CHASERS has been renewed for a third season premiering Wednesday, November 5th at 10PM ET/PT. One of the first reality series to debut on CNBC, The Car Chasers takes viewers into the world of car flipping. Set in Lubbock, Texas, Jeff Allen, Meg Bailey and the "Flat 12" team return with 16 new half-hour episodes and plenty of wheeling and dealing. The Car Chasers is produced for CNBC by ITV Studios America with Tom Greenhut serving as executive producer.
