British Detective Drama MARCELLA Season 1 Out On DVD 10/17

The haunting new British detective drama MARCELLA, Season 1 makes its DVD debut on October 17, 2017 from Acorn, an RLJ Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand. Marcella Backland (Anna Friel, Pushing Daisies) left the Metropolitan Police for the sake of her family, only to have her husband leave her. She returns to her job on the murder squad, investigating a case that seems disturbingly familiar to her. The DVD 2-disc set features 8 episodes ($49.99, Amazon.com). Marcella, Season 1 originally aired on ITV in the U.K. and Netflix in the U.S. in 2016. A second series has been commissioned.

After taking a career break to raise her children, Detective Sergeant Marcella Backland (Anna Friel) rejoins the London Metropolitan Police following the abrupt end of her marriage. She jumps right into one of her old cases when a serial murderer known as the Grove Park Killer seemingly resurfaces.
