The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 47th anniversary in 2017 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and beloved films. The 2017 series, made possible through the generous support of PVS Chemicals, will run June 16-August 6 at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) and will feature 25 films over eight weeks.

2017 highlights include 10 series premieres, a silent film with live musical accompaniment, two Saturday mornings of classic cartoons, a Comedy Double Feature, a Vamp and Camp Double Feature, and a special twist on the return of Fright Nite Friday hosted by Fritz the Nite Owl.

Show Tunes

Now celebrating his 26th CAPA Summer Movie Series, Clark Wilson, official organist for the CAPA Summer Movie Series, will once again provide pre-show and intermission entertainment at the keys of the Ohio Theatre's "Mighty Morton" theatre organ 30 minutes prior to each screening. Organist David Fleisher will also provide live organ accompaniment at select movie screenings.
