An excerpt from A Parents Guide to a Peaceful Home:
Does the teacher really have the full allotted time to teach Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies and assure that no child is left behind and AYP? You wonder why they are not passing? You blame the teachers and criticize them because the child has not learned. The majority of the children have not been trained at home.
Braxton hopes that her book will help parents see that they are the first teachers and they need to Take That role seriously. This book is meant to assist parents with alternative methods to raise their children in love, peace and discipline, states the author. When this is began and implemented at home, it spills into the schools and neighborhoods.
