Richmond, Virginia, 1865. A wounded Jewish Confederate officer returns to the ruins of the family home. His family has fled, but he is greeted by two newly freed slaves with whom he grew up, and who were raised Jewish in this Jewish household. The three men celebrate a very unconventional Passover seder.
