The play tells the tale of the conspiracy to assassinate 'the foremost man of all this world', the famous funeral oration of Mark Antony, which turned the fickled mob against the murderers, and the downfall of the conspirators Brutus and Cassius. Geva Theatre Center' 41st Season continues with The 39 Steps, adapted by Patrick Barlow, from the John Buchan novel and the film by Alfred Hitchcock. Directed by Sean Daniels, this fast-paced whodunit begins performances tonight, October 22 and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through November 17.
Geva Theatre's Leadership Recognized in Area Awards, Nov 2013

It is a special occasion when a leader of any organization is recognized for their achievements, but when both of the Co-CEO's are recognized in the same year, it is cause for celebration. The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester recently announced the recipients of their Annual Arts Awards. Geva's Artistic Director Mark Cuddy will be receiving the 2013 Performing Artist Award, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.

Meet the famed Opera Diva, Maria Callas, a glamorous, commanding, larger-than-life, caustic, and surprisingly drop-dead funny pedagogue holding a voice master class. Alternately dismayed and impressed by the opera students who parade before her, she retreats into recollections about the glories of her own life and career including her younger years as an ugly duckling, her fierce hatred of her rivals, the unforgiving press that savaged her early performances, her triumphs at La Scala, and her affair with Aristotle Onassis. MASTER CLASS, by the acclaimed playwright Terrence McNally, won the 1995 Tony Award.

Geva Theatre Center invites Rochester to join in the down-home country fun of Pump Boys and Dinettes with book, lyrics and music by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann and directed by Mark Cuddy, with choreography by Peggy Hickey and musical direction by Nathan Dame. Pump Boys and Dinettes began performances on September 10 and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through October 13. Non-profit theatre company Road Less Traveled Productions is inviting Western New York to enjoy a special night of performance and culture in the heart of Buffalo's Theatre District. On Saturday, November 16th, 2013, RLTP will host a 10th Anniversary Gala in celebration of its achievements to date. The black-tie event will offer attendees a full evening of entertainment, featuring dinner at Buffalo's historic Saturn Club on Delaware Avenue, a performance of Clybourne Park at 710 Main Theatre, and a post-performance cocktail reception with RLTP's 2013 American Theatre Master and 2013 Tony Award Winner Pam MacKinnon at the Saturn Club.

Me and Jezebel, the candidly funny comedy by Elizabeth L. Fuller, is coming to Blackfriars Theatre this October in a fresh, exciting and uniquely inspired production. The show, based on the true life account of Fuller, recounts events during the summer of 1985 when the legendary Bette Davis came to stay in Fuller's family home in Connecticut for what was only to be one night, but instead turned into an entire month. After dinner with a mutual friend of Davis' at Fuller's home, and a friendly phone call from Davis herself, Elizabeth agrees to let Bette Davis reside with her during the course of a New York hotel strike.
