MusicalFare has announced its 25th Anniversary Season, including BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY and SISTERS OF SWING: THE ANDREWS SISTERS MUSICAL. Also set for the season is the regional professional premiere of the 5 time Tony Award winning THE DROWSY CHAPERONE as well as the MusicalFare premieres of Tony winner AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' and Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic CAROUSEL.

THE DROWSY CHAPERONE
September 10 - October 12, 2014
Directed by Chris Kelly
Choreographed by Bobby Cooke

As a die-hard musical theatre fan plays the record of his favorite musical, the (fictional) 1928 hit THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, the show bursts to life onstage in front of him! He wittily comments on the music, actors, and story of a rambunctious starlet, a panicked producer, a drunken diva, two singing and dancing hit men dressed as chefs, well - I'm sure you get the idea! This completely original musical, not based on a movie, a book, or a cartoon, is full of hummable tunes and overall hilarity. Winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Book and Best Score, the MusicalFare production will rediscover the show's intimate roots (THE DROWSY CHAPERONE had its world premiere at the Toronto Fringe Festival) in the tradition of previous MusicalFare productions such as AVENUE Q and SPELLING BEE.

Starring: Anthony Alcocer, Charmagne Chi, Kelly Copps, Steve Copps, John Kaczorowski, Renee Landrigan, Debbie Pappas, Eric Rawski, Alan Trinca, Doug Weyand, Adam Yellen and others.

AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'
November 5 - December 7, 2014
Directed and Choreographed by Michael Walline

It was a time when Lenox Avenue dives in Harlem were filled with piano players banging out the new beat known as swing. AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' is the acclaimed Broadway musical revue featuring Fats Waller music of the 1920s and 30s. Five performers present an evening of rowdy, rollicking, finger-snapping songs that capture the moods of uptown clubs and downtown Tin Pan Alley. The versatile cast struts, strums, and sings the songs that encapsulate the various moods of the era and reflect Waller's view of life as a journey meant for pleasure and play.

BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY
February 4 - March 8, 2015

In celebration of MusicalFare's 25th anniversary season, we present the return of one of the most acclaimed productions in our history. BUDDY is the story of the legendary singer & songwriter Buddy Holly, who shot to stardom in 1957. Featuring such classic songs as "That'll be the Day," "Peggy Sue," "La Bamba" and "Chantilly Lace, " BUDDY is a unique mixture of innocence, determination, humor, and charm that was Buddy Holly and has been hailed as "The World's Most Successful Rock 'n' Roll Musical!"

RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN'S CAROUSEL
April 15 - May 17, 2015
Directed by Randall Kramer

CAROUSEL's romance of Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan is one of musical theater's classic stories. We witness one man's shot at redemption in this Rodgers and Hammerstein masterpiece that hasn't been professionally produced in WNY in over 20 years. The show includes the well-known songs "If I Loved You" and "You'll Never Walk Alone" and won the 1994 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Don't miss the show that composer Richard Rodgers said was his favorite of all of his musicals!

SISTERS OF SWING: THE ANDREWS SISTERS MUSICAL
July 8 - August 9, 2015
Directed & Choreographed by Doug Weyand

Another 25th Anniversary celebration! SISTERS OF SWING offers an insider's view into the personal and private lives of the most successful female group of all-time: the Andrews Sisters. Featuring all of their hit songs, including "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree," "Bei Mir Bist du Schon" and many others, SISTERS OF SWING chronicles the Andrews Sisters lives, their successful pairings with other recording artists such as Bing Crosby & Danny Kaye, and the peaks and valleys of their showbiz careers.
