The New Road Less Traveled Theater At 456 Main Street To Open Season This October

Due to the short window of time in Road Less Traveled Productions' off-season and the scope and execution of the build-out of the new Road Less Traveled Theater at 456 Main Street, the organization will not open its 2018/19 season on Friday September 7th with Hand to God by Robert Askins. 
ART/WNY Finds New Performance Spaces

The American Repertory Theater of WNY will operate out of two new performances spaces for the 2018-19 season and for future seasons. Signing a 10-year lease with Sinatra & Company Real Estate, American Repertory Repertory of WNY will operate out the the former Theatreloft space on 545 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo New York. The company has also entered into an agreement with TCS Development LLC to perform out the Philip Sheridan building on 3200 Elmwood Avenue, Tonawanda NY.   'We have gone from zero to 120 overnight.' Executive Director Matthew LaChiusa on the recent developments. 'The opportunities presented to us will enable this company's future for years to come. We are excited to be working with strong partners and ready to get these ventures rolling.'

Organizers of the KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival (Wednesday, September 12 - Saturday, September 22) announced the seventh annual festival's entire lineup and invited Rochester to "Join the PARTY" at their BIG REVEAL press conference this morning. For the first time, Rochester's Fringe will span 11 days, up from 10 for the past five years, and it will open on a Wednesday evening.

KH: The first time I performed was my Nana and Boppa's basement in Skaneatales, NY, where my sister and I would reenact the entirety of Annie to the vinyl record. I was probably 5. The first time I performed for people was as a Storyteller in Once on this Island Jr. at Mill Middle School. I was in 8th grade. The first time I performed for money was the first Buffalo Stories at Road Less Travelled. I was less than a month out of college. Though I can't confirm this, I'm sure the critics raved about me every time.

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has been penning a sequel to his blockbuster for years, and it has been performed in many versions, as LOVE NEVER DIES. Buffalonians may remember being titillated with the announced world premiere in Toronto years ago, but alas that announcement, as well as one of a Broadway production never occurred. London got dibs on it's premiere, then a reworked version went to Australia and now a new American tour is on the road letting the US decide what they think of the story.
