RLTP Presents AN EVENING OF DIRTY JOKES, 3/10

The Red Carpet will be turning blue this March... Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced a one-night-only, "consenting-adults-only," live performance benefit event scheduled for March 10, 2011. The event, RLTP's An Evening of Dirty Jokes will offer patrons a wide array of entertainment including comedy, live music, burlesque dancing, and "old school arcade gaming." 
 
An Evening of Dirty Jokes will be held at The Wasteland Game Room in Downtown Buffalo's Theatre District and will be headlined by RLTP Resident Playwright Jon Elston and beloved WNY stage icon Jimmy Janowski. The pair will act as dual Masters of Ceremony and each will present a set of "traditionally raunchy adult humor in the classic Borscht Belt tradition," according to Elston. "Jimmy and I will be working blue, individually and in tandem, in the spirit of the swanky comedy stylings of the Las Vegas Rat Pack," said Elston. "I will definitely be the Dino to Jimmy's Frank...or maybe the Jerry to his Dean."
 
Additional acts performing in support of RLTP during the eveningwill include rock band Nelson Starr and The Benjamins; Vaudevillian musician and comedian Adelhard Tannenbaum; and WNY's premier burlesque troupe The Stripteasers. Refreshments will be served and guests are invited to enjoy The Wasteland Game Room's selection of classic standing video arcade machines.
 
"The idea behind the evening is to treat the patrons to the kind of diverse and colorful smorgasbord of adult entertainment that hasn't been readily available in a single package for a long time," offered RLTP Artistic Director Scott Behrend. "Nowadays, you could go see a band, or a couple of stand-up comics, or a burlesque act... but An Evening of Dirty Jokes will deliver all of that and more in a party atmosphere for a single ticket price." Behrend quoted that ticket price as "only $25!" and said that proceeds would support RLTP, a local 501(c)3 not-for-profit arts and culture organization.
 
Meanwhile, Elston added that the humor presented in An Evening of Dirty Jokes would indeed be dirty, but also "classy," promising "only the most sophisticated and highest quality smut for our discerning patrons."
 
Doors open for An Evening of Dirty Jokes at 7:00PM on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at The Wasteland Game Room (700 Main Street, next to Studio Arena Theater, in Buffalo, NY).
