"Stones in the Water," is an immigrant story of two Haitian couples making a life for themselves in NYC. Set in the 1970s, the couples navigate through the ups and downs of life, escaping the force of the infamous Macoute under the leadership of Duvalier, they move to New York City in hopes of a better tomorrow. An unexpected incident forces them to face the lingering effects of trauma from the present and the past reminding them that "the stone in the water, doesn't know the pain of the stone in the sun."
