Surreal Multimedia Musical I Scream Theater — a Teen Addict’s Triumphant True Tale of Escape — Presented by Cirkus Moxie and Brooklyn Art Haus August 7 & 13
I Scream Theater by C.M. Soto is a two-act, one-woman multimedia musical that blends poetry, photography, noir film, neo-burlesque, comedy, and circus arts into a confessional cabaret tracing Soto’s fractured journey through addiction and abuse, ending in creative salvation. Told with haunting humor and a strange grace, I Scream Theater is both urgent and life-affirming.
Performances will take place at Brooklyn Art Haus, located at 24 Marcy Ave, Williamsburg, BK, NY, on Friday, August 7, and Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cirkus-moxie-presents-i-scream-theater-tickets-1988045469516.
First produced in New Orleans, I Scream Theater is an avant-garde performance that amplifies voices silenced by generational addiction, violence, manic ambition, and domestic erasure.
There is an 18+ content advisory for the single use of strobe, vivid nightmare imagery, self-harm, child neglect, sexual assault, domestic abuse, drug use, strong language, and PG-13 nudity.
