nocturne is proud to present their debut creation, Witness the Beginning, an immersive experience that examines humanity in its purest form. The performance will occur for one-night-only on Saturday October 10, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. The event will take place in a secret Brooklyn warehouse near the Gowanus Canal. The exact location will be revealed to the public one week before the show. Audience members are invited to stay after the performance for a post-show celebration with an open bar, live music by Alter, and a DJ set by PennyWild, both New York-based artists.

The production, directed by Chad Lindsey (The Summoners with Hook & Eye) will run November 4-21 at The Actors Fund Arts Center @ The Schermerhorn (160 Schermerhorn Street between Hoyt and Smith Streets, Brooklyn). Performances will be Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm with matinee performances on November 7, 8, & 15, and an additional performance on Monday, November 16 at 7pm. Tickets ($25) are available atwww.artful.ly/godisaverb. The show will run approximately 100 minutes.

Join RAT on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 7pm at the Triad as they thrust their artistic associates along with some very special guests onto the stage, shot glasses in hand for an audience interactive staged reading of Oliver Goldsmith's beloved comedy "She Stoops to Conquer." This one-off event is being held to raise funds for RAT's upcoming production of "Patronage" which will premiere this December.

Relayed through a series of vignettes told from the vantage point of Dumbo's mother (a retired showgirl played by Nolan herself), the extravaganza features fearless performers from her collective BabySkinGlove, including Charley Parden, Viva Soudan, Nessa Norich, Ellen Robin Rosenberg and Wesley Flash. With a pop music soundtrack that includes Mariah Carey, Johnny Cash, Florence and the Machine, Aerosmith and Joni Mitchell, Nolan and companions bridge the gap between unabashed self-indulgence and delicate nostalgia. The tale is told in two acts with a whirlwind of lightly choreographed emotions as explored on the laps of the audience.

Composer Paola Prestini, the Creative and Executive Director of National Sawdust (NS), today announced programming for the non-profit's inaugural fall season in its new home-a $16 million, 13,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art chamber hall in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The performance and recording venue, designed by Brooklyn-based architecture firm Bureau V in the shell of century-old former sawdust factory, will provide composers and musicians a setting in which they can flourish, and a place where they are given commissioning support, mentoring and other critical resources essential to create, and then share, their work. For audiences-serious fans and casual listeners alike-the venue will be a place to discover genre-spanning music at accessible ticket prices.
