Paper Canoe Theater Company, a devised theatre company for families, presents Light: A Dark Comedy by Greg Steinbruner, in partnership with Triskelion Arts, at the Muriel Schulman Theater.

Originally developed through The New Victory LabWorks Residency, Light: A Dark Comedy asks audiences to imagine a world without light. Eleven-year-old Moth lives in a world of darkness - here, nobody remembers there once was a sun; folks are too tired to notice the odd and sinister workings of their strange city. But when Moth's mother is overcome by "The Sleep," Moth is forced to unplug from the world she knows to set off for the Slumberyards. On this magical theatrical journey, she unexpectedly finds a host of lost misfits who, together, save the day. An 80-minute hero's journey seeks imagineers. Ages 8+

Performances will be every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30am, from Saturday, March 19th through Sunday, April 10 and Friday, March 25 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $18 and available online at www.triskelionarts.org and at the door. The Muriel Schulman Theater is located at 106 Calyer St in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
