Part of The Tank's Save & Print series, CHARLESES runs through Saturday, April 29. The performance schedule isMonday, Wednesday - Sunday at 8 PM. Please note, the performances on Saturday, April 29 are at2 PM & 6 PM.  Performances are at The Brick (575 Metropolitan Avenue, at Lorimer). Kristen, an Oscar and Grammy winner, co-wrote Broadway's first a capella show, In Transit. Bobby, co-creator of Book of Mornon and Avenue Q, is the youngest ever person to win an EGOT - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards. The pair are currently adapting their hit film Frozen for Broadway release in Spring, 2018.

Eighth Blackbird is pleased to announce that 30 early-career musicians have been chosen to receive Fellowships to the inaugural Blackbird Creative Lab, a two-week summer training program taking place June 11 - 24 at the Besant Hill School in Ojai, California. The Fellows comprise eighteen performers, six composers, and two ensembles. In addition to Eighth Blackbird, the Blackbird Creative Lab Faculty includes composers Jennifer Higdon and Ted Hearne, and director/filmmaker Mark DeChiazza. During the session, a stellar array of Guest Artists will rotate through The Lab: composer Steve Reich, composer/performer Pamela Z, flutist/composer Ned McGowan, and from the Ojai Music Festival, curator Tom Morris and producer Elaine Martone, who also serves as Director of the Blackbird Creative Lab.

This interactive family event will take place on the plaza outside Whitman Theatre at Brooklyn College immediately following the 2pm presentation of Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters: An African Tale. Brooklyn Center's tenth annual National Grid Earth Day Celebration is free and open to the public, with no tickets or reservations required. Tickets to Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters are $15 and can be purchased at BrooklynCenter.org or by calling the box office at 718-951-4500 (Tue-Sat, 1pm-6pm). Both the performance and the Earth Day Celebration are recommended for ages four and up.
