Voices Carry is the Handel and Haydn Society's 2025-26 season finale, shining a spotlight on the H+H Chorus in a program of German and Italian motets and other sacred works, performed mostly a cappella. Guest conductor James Burton, internationally renowned conductor and composer, leads the ensemble, with select accompaniment from H+H Orchestra members Sarah Freiberg, Peter Walsh, Adam Cockerham, and Ian Watson. The program includes three H+H premieres, among them Johann Kuhnau's sacred motet Tristis est anima mea, alongside works by Bach, Schütz, Brahms, Gesualdo, and Scarlatti. The concert opens with a special performance by the H+H Youth Choruses Concert Choir, featuring singers in grades 6-10.
