As announced on Tony Danza this morning, while playing a game with Kristy Cates and a few other Wicked cast members....there go the Liza rumors. She'll begin in January.

I've never seen the show but it seems a good fit for her.

Love her. Not enough to go back and see that show, mind you, but love her.

Oh man! I was hoping to catch her on tour in Philadelphia. I guess this just gives me an execuse to go to New York and see it.

This is great news. I saw her in SF and was very happy with her performance of Morrible. Time to get the train wreck that is Rue out of there! I'm totally going to see this show again on Bway with the new cast members in Jan.

I had a feeling this may happen since it was announced that Carole Shelley would be with the tour after December and Rue's contract is until January. Makes perfect sense and I wish her all the best! :)

I saw Carol in an odd little play called Family Week a few years ago. She was quite good. The play not so much. She seemed surprised when I congratulated her after literally bumping into her a few blocks from the theater. Guess she's learned how to handle complements since then at Wicked stage doors.

Carol Kane is talented, but totally miscast as Morrible. At least she's better than Rue (though I don't know who isn't).

Oh, YES! She was great--I love her in the role. They need to bring DAVID to NY as well. He was absolutely amazing as the wizard.

Blast.

Don't get me wrong, she was good as Morrible, but I have already seen her and was hoping they would bring someone else in.

Well, this still makes me thrilled as I'm sorry to say I was extremely disappointed and discontented w/ Rue's performance, and am anxious to see new blood in the role.

I still need to see Rue.. Tony Danza but I don't know if I can bring myself back to this show. Considering theres no discounts etc.

But when you're a fan of a legend no matter if they're good or not in the role, you really want to catch them in the show. Atleast that's how it is for me.

Well, I'm not the biggest Carole fan - I'm more interested in who will be taking over as Elphaba. I'm in complete agreement about David Garrison, he's an awesome Wizard, one of the few who I really enjoy in the role.

I know Carole Shelley mentioned she couldn't do it on Broadway anymore because of the raked stage. How raked is the stage b/c I didn't seem to notice? But it seemed to be bad enough to hurt her back.

They discussed nothing really at all, just played a game. The 'Carol coming to Broadway' comment took Kristy Cates by surprise....didn't even seem to know who she was.

Didn't Kristy Cates perform with Carol Kane in Toronto when she filled in for Stephanie?

I saw her on the tour and she was SO GOOD and really made the most out of that role. She really doesn't sing, but that really takes NOTHING away from the role. She's found many comedic moments that Carole Shelley didn't have.

A good friend of mine who was with the Broadway Cast mentioned on several occasions that the stage at the Gersh was horribly raked and then I stood on it myself. It is at a pretty severe angle. I'm pretty certain my friend saw the chiropractor because of this a couple of times.

Carol Kane WANTED to sing the part more and was trying. The director asked her to speak the part. Apparently, she isn't the best singer in the world...lol.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
