Michele is out for both shows today. Did she perform last night?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

She did perform last night.

Her infant son is in the hospital today and Lea is at his side. THat's why she is out of the shows today.

Page Six is quoting her as saying her 2 year old is suffering a 'scary health issue'. I hope everything turns out ok .

Yes. Lea's son is out of the hospital and she was back on Saturday - with a cold. Health problems are really haunting her these days.

Sounds like her son is still having issues, but things are improving.

We caught the Sunday matinee and, despite us being pretty tired from back to back to back shows on Friday and Saturday, had a great time! Lea was phenomenal. Jared was so much fun. Peter Francis James and Toni DiBuono gave great final performances and were both given huge bouquets at curtain call.
I came into this show not having ever listened to the score or seen any production. While not Lea fans per se, we liked her in Glee, and bought tickets based solely on the comments about her performance from folks around here. Lea brought it, the audience loved it, and I’m glad to have seen it. Before seeing the show I was worried that I wouldn’t care for the material - I’m much more of the big, romantic, maybe even melodramatic variety of musical than I am of musical comedy. That said, I was truly surprised how much I enjoyed the Follies numbers. They’re a lot fun, the costuming is beautiful and the performers are all so very talented. I might have to expand my horizons more for our next visit and check out any shows that are more dance and less story focused.

My husband and I saw Lea in December. We were completely blown away by her and the whole cast. It was easily one of my top three live theater performances of all time. I thought I knew this story backward and forward (from many repeat viewings of the movie, starting from when I was in junior high 40 years ago). But Lea, Ramin, Tovah, and the rest of the cast made it all seem new. I knew Lea was a great singer, but I had no idea she was also a brilliant dramatic actress. I was completely swept up in the story as I saw her Fanny evolve from being a dreamy kid to a heartbroken star. Wow!!! As a side note, I  was also really happy that the audience didn’t interrupt her singing too much with applause (though, of course, we all went wild at the appropriate times). As the show ended, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.

Before our trip to NY to see the show, I thought we’d want to watch the movie after we got home. (My husband has never seen it.) However, I found I didn’t want anything to interfere with my memory of the show. We are now on our way back to NY to see it a second time.

If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out! You won’t regret it.

So no stories of ales behaving badly backstage? I’m so disappointed !

She looked totally miserable and I engaged when they did a Broadway Cares speech during the bows the other day. And was chewing gum- which is pretty unprofessional.

Just watched a 2016 episode of "Who Do You Think You Are" featuring Lea.  This part of her history focused on her father's immigrant family.  Somewhat confusing, a bit sad, but ultimately uplifting.  I have never understood the unfounded nastiness that has been directed at Lea, including on this website.  My regret is that I likely will not ever see her perform in person.  She is a good woman from a good family.  Lea's ancestors would be proud of her.  I wish Lea Michele continued success and happiness.

I was left with a similar impression of her a couple of weeks ago. A technically stunning singing performance but I was left feeling cold. She was chewing gum at the curtain call too, which is a no no in front of an audience.

Well I would suggest her alleged behaviour goes further than ‘unfounded’ given the multiple reports from her colleagues. However, I think people should be able to change and it seems unnecessarily/nasty for people to keep hounding her over things that probably happened 10+ years ago. If things start again with Funny Girl then perhaps the conversation can be reopened. Until then, we all need to ‘Move On’.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

"

The performance might have been due to her continued concern about her son's health. I don't know about the chewing gum at a curtain call. She complained about being sick herself, so could have been for her throat. Not sure when she could get a stick of gum into her mouth and start chewing after the finale, but I wasn't there. None of the videos of the curtain call showing up on YT have her chewing gum or doing anything but smiling and thanking people.

If that's the best you can do to criticize her, maybe she truly has changed the behavior that got her into trouble 10 years ago.
