Honestly, this could be absolutely fantastic. Seeing as music was used in the first film to represent Arthur Fleck’s delusions of grandeur, this choice makes sense to heighten that aspect. The first movie already had a lot of more musical elements such as how they used Sinatra and “Send In The Clowns”. If anything, I trust Phoenix’s taste in projects to know that he would not sign on if it wasn’t 100% great.

Even factoring in delays due to the strike, the idea that they still haven't finalized which songs are going to be used, or if any original songs will be featured at all this far into production is... not great.

Would seemingly be locked down by now, just maybe not shared with the public. Shooting was completed almost a year ago.

Who wrote this s**t? Garland isn’t even in the film THE BAND WAGON.

I think they probably meant that the song, not the musical, was associated with Judy Garland, but they needed to put an "and" before "famously."

I loathed the first JOKER movie, but the idea of jukebox-musicalizing this world is interesting, I love Lady Gaga, and think that poster is stylish.

Agree 100 per cent , the first movie was to me an unwatchable mess with a leading performance that was awful. But this intrigues me enough that I’m willing to see it
