I am sure it’s just me, but I feel like this has been in previews for about six years. LOL

Regardless, the critics have no influence on whether this production is successful or not. It will make lots of money and people will be happy they got to be part of the audience. We’ve waited for 2 years and personally I couldn’t care less if a reviewer thinks Neil Simon material isn’t legendary because it’s dated by todays standards. The play takes place in 1968 and many of us still remember those times, good and bad.

Anyone noticed that critics have gotten particularly brutal lately, especially with lighter fare? Thought this was a perfectly charming play with two great stars with terrific chemistry. The anger in these reviews is palpable.

Despite what any critic says, I have a feeling Parker will win the Tony.

Based on tonight's notices, I'd have to think Parker and John Lee Beatty have made their cases for Tony noms, if not wins, for Leading Actress and Set Design of a Play.
