Someone asked me why I didn't like it and I responded, and then I said I went in with an open mind, and frankly I didn't even remember the film because I saw it like 20 years ago. I don't like to research much, because that tends to spoil my experience. I didn't "complain" about anything. It's my point of view, but it seems like you have a big problem with it and that's exactly what it is, your problem, not mine!

I think that’s a pretty fair take on Doubtfire. Although I’d hesitate to say he needs to get a “real job.” His job is plenty valid. I don’t think the issue is he can’t afford to take care of his kids, right?

I think the social worker told him that he has a chance of appealing the judge order if he finds a steady job and a place to live. But I could be mistaken, I think I purposely want to forget all about that show! Haha.

The initial problem (in the first court hearing) is that Daniel has just been fired from a voice acting job and is unemployed. He's told that if he finds employment and a suitable place to live, the judge will reconsider.
You absolutely can NOT say someone is wrong for a role, or they’re bad, or anything along those lines unless you actually see that specific actor play that specific role. And you can’t judge their performance in a role on previous performances, either. Sorry-it doesn’t work that way. See them in person, then judge. And if you can’t see them in person, maybe like…don’t say anything? Obviously you can not like a performer, but you can’t say you don’t like them in the role until the role has been performed and you have seen them.
Edit: this is not directed at anyone specific. This thread was about unpopular opinions. I don’t think people agree with me on this.
