I am just hoping some feedback as to what is going on in NYC. I am hoping not to turn this into a political debate. I just see what is on the news, but I don't know what to believe anymore.
Not sure what the streets currently look like, but I just see images of 5th Ave stores being boarded up and etc. As often as I have been to NYC, I am still a tourist. Broadway lives off of tourists, and I am worried that it may be a long time before the tourists return to levels we saw prior to the pandemic.
I have always been optimistic that Broadway would get passed COVID19 sooner than later so things would return to normal. However, given the current climate with the protests, is it safe to be in Broadway/Times Square?. I cannot imagine morale within NYPD is anything but low at the moment. NYPD always had a large presence in the area.
I do have a trip planned to NYC relatively soon, but of course that is yet TBD
Okay, so this now is like the 6th thread on this? Dios míos, people! Anything COVID-19 has been asked, answered, debated, speculated on countless threads since the second week of March 2020 when the world shutdown.

Actually, if you read my post, this has nothing to do with COVID19.
There’s a lot to do here, actually. You can -Go to the AT&T store -Get takeout at the Olive Garden and eat it in Times Square -Walk down the street -Pet a dog being walked -Order online from Petco in union square and go pick up your order curbside -Get dinner at McDonalds -Take the Staten Island Ferry back and forth a few times -Buy some notebooks and pens at Staples and write about your exciting NYC visit.

This is my favorite idea. It makes a lovely walk and if you go on a market day you can pick up an apple. But not for your pets. They don't digest them well.
My dog loves apples. They’ve always been one of his favorite things and he doesn’t have any problems with them. But yeah now you made me want to go down there and get him some tennis balls and go to the Farmers Market this week and get some stuff.
