Your story about the person who thought they were really "friends" with a celebrity they met reminded of a very similar story a former co-worker told me: Her grandmother had a much younger friend at her church who had a 12-year-old daughter,who was on Facebook,and thought she had "friended" Justin Bieber,back when he was a huge teen idol. The young girl insisted it was really him,and I told my co-worker it was most likely someone impersonating him. She was suspicious,too.

So unexpected. And so sad...after I logged in,the site returned to the front page and they had just changed it to this announcement. I have a friend who is from NYC,who was an aspiring dancer,and Ann was one of her idols. Such an amazing dancer and one of a kind.

I've loved Rita Moreno from the first time I heard her on the WSS film soundtrack. The film came out a few years before I was born,but fortunately my musical theater-loving parents played the record a lot in our house. I've seen the film many times as a teen and adult. I've also seen Moreno on talk shows and she's very funny and entertaining.

 I didn't know she was like that. Ugh. What a turn-off. She needs to get with Christine Ebersole.

Yes,Katrina is a very private person. But it actually makes me respect her even more--she's not a media whore. I just can't with those types. I'm looking forward to Company returning,too.

I'm surprised BWW hasn't posted anything. But maybe they don't know--the only reason I know is because I saw it posted on Company's Twitter last year.

Beautiful. I think of all 4 of my grandparents who emigrated here and managed to escape the Holocaust. Lady Liberty was the first thing they saw when reaches the shores of this Great country,which I hope will heal someday.

I remember reading that Sandra Church was Jules Styne's girlfriend at the time Gypsy was being cast,and that was how she got the title role. But after Gypsy,not much was heard about her. I only know what I read,because I wasn't born yet and I discovered Gypsy as an adult in the '90s.
