Sunday in the Park with George
Unfortunately it is cancelled. I got Twitter jail for going after a 45* supporter that was attacking the lgbt+ community. 5 more days I can go after her again. My husband was in one of the few photos from Stonewall in 1969. He is alive and well. Several of our friends did die over the last few months. I cannot wait to get together with the rest and celebrate life again. Just glad I got to celebrate the start of lgbt+ freedom last year.
Amen!!! I was lucky enough to be in New York for Pride in 2011 when Marriage Equality was won . i had just gotten back to my hotel from seeing The Book of Mormon and saw the news So i changed clothes and took a a taxi to Christopher Street. It was the most amazing site I have ever witnessed and I will never forget it. I attended the Pride Parade that Sunday. I was in New York by myself that trip but it remains my favorite trip ever. I also was at Pride in 2014 and saw the parade that year also. My sister and I had tickets to see Buyer and Seller at the Barrow Street Theatre that Sunday night and our taxi driver wouldn't go all the way so we walked through the throngs of revelers to the theater and rode the subway back to Times Square with a car full of the happiest Drag Queens. these are some of my most fond memories ever.
