Cuomo has said today that the subway was not designed for social distancing. He admitted there was basically no way for it to work on the subway. Since virus mostly spread by sneezing and coughing on someone with no mask the best defense is a mask. If someone coughs on someone fine then. Repeat offense and you go to jail. If you can control its spread by doing this same for theaters and Sporting events .This is madness killing the economy day by day.  Restrict everything else but let it spread on the subway .Try this and see if it works

Times Square at midnight 2020 might be fun to watch to see the huge crowd there. Wink wink Another casualty especially in hotel and restaurant area

You asked no questions, you posed no answers. Cuomo never said he is sending people to jail if you cough or sneeze on someone, what a complete waste of resources. Subway traffic is down 95%. Only people going to work use it. The people who are working right now are front line workers, who NEED the subway for transportation. We cannot shut down the subway, it's really simple. People are doing the best they can. Yes, the economy is collapsing, and it cannot go on like this for much longer. We will slowly re-open and thousands more will die. We can't shelter in place for a year, but re opening the country means a lot more death. Nobody wins in this situation.

And stop bitching about Cuomo. You live in a fu*king BLUE STATE with a competent governor. Be grateful. If you don't want that, feel free to move to Georgia, Texas or any fly-over state that doesn't matter. I think you'll find a lot more of your people there.

Has anybody ever had a cough or sneeze that snuck up on them without warning? Or not enough warning to let go of the hand strap on. a moving subway to sneeze or cough into the crook of their elbow? Or a rapid-fire machine gun-like volley of sneezes that would expand the viral droplet spread zone exponentially or do most people sneeze in exactly one way, all the time, every time? And where would law enforcement need to be positioned to issue fines for sneeze and cough offenses? It's much easier to make blanket statements than work out real world logistics, I find.

Must be nice for all those doctors and nurses from flyover states that volunteered to come to NY and help are from states that don't matter. Just curious, does NC matter?

Conversion therapy is still 100% legal there. Why does your state like to abuse and torture minor children? Also, the bulls*it "Six Week Fetal Heartbeat" bill that constantly gets proposed every year by men? Nope.

Really. You live in NY and you are going to talk trash about another state, that is priceless. BTW - NC has a Democratic Governor - lol. You advised me awhile ago that I should only discuss politics on this board if I liked banging my head against the wall. Since I don't, I will not get into the politics of your post. I responded to your original post because I felt that you really insulted millions of people and pointed out that people from those states (including NC) came to help your state (NY) in time of need.

I guess I will tell my wife who is clinical nurse supervisor at large hospital and her life is on the line with this situation she does not matter because she lives in NC. I guess I will tell my nephew who teaches special needs kids in Charlotte NC, he does not matter. One of the guys I play tennis with is a policeman in Charlotte NC, guess he does not matter either. I could go on but I know you are intelligent enough to get the idea.

Yes, I have been married happily for 33 years and counting. You have no idea if I am white or registered Republican. My views on this board are not one who is a Democrat but I could very easily be like many others and registered as a Independent. Yes, I have voted for a Democrat for POTUS in my lifetime.

Yes, I trash talk places that hate women and the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a proud ally who also happens to work with at risk youth. And since you have a Democratic governor, perhaps both things can change? It's incredibly telling you don't mention either abused minors in gay conversion therapy or the restrictive abortion laws of your state. 

Until those things change, nope, North Carolina simply doesn't matter.

ALL States matter.

When I joined the military during the Vietnam War, I swore an oath to "Protect and defend the Constitution of the United States".  I wasn't offered the option to pick and choose which of those States I would or would not protect and defend.  We are a Union, and we fought a Civil War to preserve that Union.  I am proud to be a citizen of the United States, and I cherish each and every one of those States.

ALL States matter.

Except they do. They may be ignorant, belligerent, insufferable rashes, who don't know when they are being lied to and manipulated, but they are your fellow citizens and they matter. Don't expect u to like it One of the worst,stupidest things Miss Hillary ever said was calling them deplorables. They may very well be but u don't gain any currency by saying it out loud.   They are angry, scared, confused and clutching at things that seem to make them feel better. It's their coping mechanism. An ineffective one but it's theirs.

Trumps  hardcorebase- nothing will matter to them. But there r others on the border and I believe they can be changed, and that's who you try for.

To borrow an old New York phrase. "Ya gotta believe!" Cos otherwise, the other guys win b4 u even started.

Time after time people just can't disagree with you they have to mock every thing you say. The people who preach tolerance and compassion show very little of it to you and others they don't agree with. In the words of "Sutton Ross" to me, "you don't matter".  With no Broadway shows for probably a long time, there really is no point to continue to come here and post. There are other boards I could join and post "off topic" items. I am sure my political comments will be missed  - yeah right -lol. So stay safe and take care of yourself and your wife. Goodbye.
