My wife and I dont get to NYC often—roughly once every three years. We have a trip planned for April and want to try some good pizza while we’re there. There are only two of us, so we don’t want to visit a place where we have to buy a whole pie, but most (or all) of the slice shops I’ve researched have little or no seating. While I understand most people either stand and eat or take their pizza to go, without going too much into it, that’s not something that will work for us.
So my question is, are there any good, traditional NYC pizza places that sell by the slice and have reasonable seating accommodations? Thanks!
I don't know if it's the best although every place will have it in their name and tell you they are but my go to slice place in the theater district is Famous Amadeus on 8th ave. between 50th and 51st. Decent pizza, reasonable prices and plenty of seating. Pretty basic but a good place to grab a slice and sit if you want.

But just know that asking us New Yorkers where to find good pizza is only going to give you a different answer for everyone you ask. "
YES YES YES. I love Jordan and this just cemented it further. Their pizza is incredible.
But be warned, seating is very limited to a couple stools.
I believe that Bleecker Street Pizza recently expanded their seating area. They've always been one of my go to spots when I have people visiting from out of town.

Joe's pizza just opened just below Times square on 39th or 40th and Bway. They are consistently one of my favorite by the slice spots though there can be a line.
