This apparently is the first released snippet of the big Elsa anthem for the new film. While not as instantly earworm catchy as Let it Go (which is not necessarily a bad thing...) I like what I'm hearing thusfar and Idina sounds sensational singing it...
There's another clip circulating that has one of the verses, which I liked a lot. It's hard to replicate "Let It Go", but I like what I'm hearing. Idina sounds fabulous!
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
I'm also just very excited about Jonathan Groff finally getting a real song."
First of all I’m loving Into the Unknown so far. Secondly please let Anna’s solo be the actual finale. Because in the original, stopping the singing in the third act was a bit of a killjoy.

I feel like NOTHING can be 'Let It Go'. I have stated often that the biggest pitfall facing Frozen media is trying to replicate the spontaneous and unexpected success of the original, which was the right film at the right time. My primary requirement is that Frozen 2 impresses on its own terms, and I think it will, based on what we know so far. It seems to be taking a lot of risks, but I would rather see that than the excessively safe approach being taken by other Frozen media...
I wouldn’t say I’m the biggest Idina fan in the world but the sheer mass exposure of her voice in Wicked, Rent, Frozen etc. - which always sounds powerful in a studio and often sounds good live - makes her voice feel iconic and defining of this generation. I hope after Frozen 2 she can find another new musical theatre project, like she did with If/Then.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I’m not surprised. The new songs from the musical were written for the plot of Frozen. While they’re amazing, it wouldn’t make sense to stick them in Frozen 2 because the plots are very different. Although, I think it would be kinda cool if maybe they used some instrumentals from the musical as a sort of tribute during a scene or two.
