Well, I'm ready.  The first two debates gave me a bit of whiplash, but I'm looking forward to tonight.

Anyone else watching?

I feel this is the first of the “real” debates, so I’m excited! Anxious to see who stands out after tonight.

Thought most were good Yang seems a little out there, Biden seems confused, Bernie seems old and like a broken record.  I thought Beto stood out and the rest were adequate.  I like how Harris went after Dump hard, well done so far.

Joe is still my guy.

Castro's ageist attack against Biden turned me off.

Well, Joe is NOT with the times. He wants kids to listen to record players at night? And still keep marijuana illegal? Seriously? God help us if he’s is our chance against Trump

Trump will easily be re-elected and it makes me sick.

I thought Warren was the best last night. Bernie is repetitive, but that doesn't invalidate his points. I initially liked Kamala Harris as a potential candidate, back during the Comey hearings, but I think she has too much baggage from her years as a prosecutor and is potentially very off-putting.

I really wish Tulsi Gabbard had qualified for this debate. I wish Biden had not run. At least Bernie and Warren are still sharp as tacks, mentally. Biden seems tired, dispassionate, and offers literally nothing besides the illusion of safety.

I COULD NOT STOP HOLLERING. Despite being ahead, the man should just close up shop.... I really can’t wrap my head around why he thought it was a good thing to run. Not only is he not with the time, but he’s just too old. Like, I can’t see him being an effective leader for the current America.

Overall, I thought it was a pretty repetitive night and everyone was piggybacking off of everyone else. Like there weren’t any original ideas that didn’t stem from Bernie’s 2016 run. Not only that, I didn’t hear any effective ways how they will enforce their policies. Unless, we win the senate and the house again with wide margins which ain’t happening any time soon, none of it will get passed. And it’s not like you can use the executive order like bajillion and half times over. I want to be optimistic, but being a strong leader isn’t going to get Medicare for all through the senate. I want them to be more realistic. It’s nice to know what they want, but what do they think they can actually accomplish is what I really want to hear.

side note: I like the questions, but overall these moderators never do a good job in my opinion. When Jorge asked about Corey’s diet I wanted to throw something at the screen. These people are running to be the president of the United States and that is what you ask one of them!???

I honestly am not passionate about any of them anymore (except for maybe one).

I loved Harris early on but she just seems strident and her methods to winning just seem obvious (pivot now and attack Trump instead of Biden, laugh/smile to try to be relatable while making points which makes her look kind of fake/snarky)

Bernie/Warren - anyone who runs on taking away Americans’ health insurance will lose the presidency. It doesn’t matter if it’s a good idea or if the math adds up (that part’s iffy). The majority of Americans don’t want it. Plus Bernie just annoys me - there is no nuance - it’s a lot of shouting and not a lot of nuance. “YOU KIDS, get off my lawn.”

Castro - shot himself in the foot by aggressively (and wrongly) attacking Biden early on in this week’s debate. I think that just drilled another hole in his already sinking dingy.

Beto - similar to taking away health insurance, gunowners won’t vote for someone who says he’s taking their guns away. Even if I agree (I do), it’s a non-starter for many Americans. Better to run on reasonable gun control measures then unleash something more aggressive once in office. Think Obama would have earned White House if he had openly supported gay marriage in run up to 2008 election? Doubtful. He understood the long game. Many of these candidates don’t get that.

Yang - drop out now, dude. Quit promising people Freedom dollars (or whatever he’s calling them) in exchange for supporting/voting for you. He seems like someone that should be presenting the new iPhone at the Apple launch events, not running for President.

Booker - just seems boring and lost as far as a consistent strategy. Seems like a genuinely nice guy, but no way he’s getting the nomination. No way he could beat Trump.

Mayor Pete - he has so little experience with governing. His time may be coming, but it’s not now.

Klobuchar - I actually like her the best now, but I don’t think she has a shot. Doesn’t seem to have much momentum behind her. If she wasn’t a woman, I think more centrists and previous Trump supporters would vote for her. And she’s not exciting and sexy with proposals which can be whittled down to bumper sticker slogans.

Biden - I go back and forth on him. Some of the outrage over some of his previous behavior seems a bit manufactured and extreme in the cold light of day. He started off the debate strong, but fizzled out as it progressed. Seems to be a theme...sigh.

I’ll 100% support whoever the ultimate nominee is (whoever wants Trump out of the White House needs to pledge now to do the same; let’s not do Trump’s job for him by attacking our own once a nominee emerges), but right now I’m not sure who I’ll vote for in the primary election. At this point I’d say Klobuchar, but I doubt she’ll still be on the ballot by time of the Oklahoma primary.

Some years back, Senator John Edwards was one of the Democratic Presidential candidates.  He was doing well during the Primary debates, and I liked him a lot (this was before the details of his personal scandal were revealed).  I always vote absentee.  As soon as my ballot arrived, I filled it out and selected Edwards.  Probably just a couple of days after I mailed my ballot, he dropped out of the race.  It was too late for me to do anything, so my vote was wasted.  I realize that my one lost vote didn't matter in the big picture, but it really mattered to me.  Since then, I always wait until close to the due date before mailing my ballot.....just in case something changes.

That's all.

Yeah, I also was an Edwards supporter. I can’t recall if the scandal had broke by time of the Oklahoma primary and, if so, if he was even still on the ballot. If it broke after our primary then I likely voted for him in our primary. Regardless, I became an avid Obama supporter soon after Edwards dropped out and never looked back. It was the first time I contributed financially to a presidential campaign including loading my car up with Obama stickers/magnets. My vote matters in primaries, but is largely wasted in the general election for president as I live in a red state. Don’t get me wrong though. I still get out there and vote as if my life depends on it, regardless.
