Does anyone have an update as to whether Andre or anyone else is out today for the matinee? I would just buy a ticket to something else if that’s the case.

I just walked up and bought SRO for today’s matinee.

As of now, Andre and Patrick Page are both on the call board! The only understudy I saw was for Eurydice, I believe. There may have been a second one.

There’s every reason to believe he will be on for the evening show! 😀

Everyone was in tonight!  I almost forgot how great Patrick Page was since I haven't seen it for so long.  And seeing Andre was a real treat.  Go see if before he leaves if you can.

I had purchased tickets for the Sunday, May 29th matinee performance, not knowing that they're also doing an evening performance that day. It's Andre's last day, but I just hope he won't miss the matinee. Is it safe to assume that he'll be on?

I would think he’d be on, but who knows. I can’t believe we haven’t gotten an announcement on his replacement yet. Presumably at this point, understudies will cover it for a couple weeks?

I would hope he's doing both shows. I plan to enter the lotto for both shows.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Just announced from the the touring company - Nicholas Barasch will be leaving the show on 6/12 and his understudy, Chibueze Ihuoma, will be taking over full-time. https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Nicholas-Barasch-to-Play-Final-Performance-in-HADESTOWN-in-June-Chibueze-Ihuoma-to-Take-Over-as-Orpheus-20220523

Curious what Nicholas is up to next, he’s one amazingly talented performer. Hope it’s something great! Also, interesting that we got his replacement announced before Andres!

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Reeve leaves soon and Nicholas takes over on Broadway.

I ended up getting a second set of Hadestown tickets for San Francisco. I've heard good things about both Nicholas and Chibueze, and I want to see them both!

Yes, ~2 months at reopening and then a week in December I believe. He is fabulous in the role; I hope he’s in all summer!!

Also May 10th-15th I believe. If Page ever leaves the show, I hope Tom gets to do the role!

Anyone know if Reeve, Eva or Patrick will be playing this Tuesday? I’m coming from Europe to see the show for the first time!

Reeve and Eva are out next week, though I’m unsure of the exact days. Sayo Oni is covering Reeve, unsure who will be in for Eva. I’m hoping it’s Grace Yoo - as much as I love Jessie Shelton’s Eurydice, I don’t believe Grace has made her debut yet and I’m curious to hear her!

Makes sense because Page is probably filming “The Gilded Age” and “Schmigadoon!”.

Alex Maria Lugo recently made their debut as Eurydice on the tour, making them the first non-binary person to play Eurydice. Mazel tov!
In fact, the tour has had a fair amount of understudies in general lately. Will Mann and Marquis Woods each had a Hades performance in the past few weeks, and Will even had to emergency cover a Fate!

Yael "YaYa" Reich is making her Eurydice debut tonight.

11/12 - 8pm
Sayo Oni - Orpheus
Yaya Reich - Eurydice
Max Kumangai - Hermes

Sayo and Yaya were fantastic, and they have a great dynamic together on stage. There were points where Sayo was much stronger than Reeve.

Max was great too, but we were really hoping to see Lilias.
But this time we got to see Patrick Page… wow.

Sorry if this has been answered, I can't find it anywhere.  Are there certain performances that any of the leads routinely miss?  Going to a Weds matinee in couple weeks!

I saw the show on 11/8 and was fortunate to see Sayo Oni as Orpheus and Malcom Armwood as Hermes.

I was a little disappointed at first to not get to see Lilias White as Hermes, but I heard a security person outside the theatre say, "Malcolm is on for Hermes. His voice is like BUTTER" and that encouraged me. She was right! He was great! Really smooth voice, super personable and energetic, clearly having fun with the role. Having never seen the show before, just listened to the cast recording, I was very happy with him as Hermes and thought he and Jewelle Blackman stole the show.

Sayo Oni's voice is absolutely beautiful. I've heard some complaints about the way Reeve plays the role, but Sayo was very pleasant and enjoyable to watch and listen to. It's also amazing how young he is compared to the guy he's understudying!

Does anyone know if Lilias White will be in for tomorrow's performance (11/17)?
