Okay....

So I was originally going to go to New York in May and see all the shows that I wanted to see for this season. However my brother got some time off from work and bought him and I tickets to go to New York in April. Every year we do marathons of shows and try to see as many as we can in a week but this year, with him we can only stay for three days.

We are going April 11-14

So far this is what I have scheduled in my itinerary...

Thurs: Phantom-Brother bought tickets for me because our grandmother recently passed away and she always wanted to see it in NYC. He on the other hand refuses too.

Fri: Open

Sat Mat: Waitress-I saw the tour when it came to my town and was very impressed.

Sat Eve: Merrily-My brother and I are huge Sondheimites, so we didn't want to miss this.

What I am seeing in May:

Be More Chill

Kiss Me, Kate

Oklahoma

Hadestown

To Kill a Mockingbird

Yiddish Fiddler

My Fair Lady

The question I have for you lovely people is what should I see on the Friday in April. I am not against seeing anything besides Jersey Boys. Sweet Jesu I hated that show.

Any suggestions would be great.

Note: I saw The Ferryman on the West End two years ago, and while I enjoyed it, I don't want to repeat seeing it.

The Prom is super cute and really, really funny. Plus there are some good discounts available.

Ohhhhh.... Good choice. Didn't think of it, wasn't even on my radar... But now....

I second The Prom. It’s very old fashioned Broadway, has some excellent performances, a fun score and like the above poster said, it’s very, very funny. I had some issues with it but it’s also probably my most recommended show for people, besides The Ferryman. Totally feel good musical comedy wonderfulness.

Hmmm... Now it's creeping up on the maybe list.

100% vote for The Prom. Another if you can get tickets or want to stand in line for standing room if Network. Honestly though, I'd probably go with The Prom over Network any day.

I love the Prom, but what I am most looking forward to this season is Gary, although it is not getting consistent love in the previews thread last I looked, a weird Taylor Mac show starring Nathan Lane is always going to be worth a look for me.

See! Same dilemma I have. Like I am a huge fan of Nathan Lane and it is just disappointing seeing the previews thread.

The Prom is now number one on the list. Rush it I am assuming?

The Prom.
No question!

Gary was, for me, disappointing, largely because of Nathan Lane.
