Invited Dress started at 7:30 at curtain came down at approximately 10:03 which included a speech from the director. No stops and no sign of technical difficulties which was honestly very impressive considering the complex beast they have on stage. As I was a guest, I don’t feel it’s right to share my thoughts, but can say the puppet is incredible.

Started at 7 tonight and ended at approximately 9:30. This is a strange little play. My gut says that I didn’t like it, but I did laugh a bit and it had this car accident quality where I couldn’t look away. The most entertaining parts tonight were the actual match play in act two. The script wasn’t great, the acting wasn’t great, the design was serviceable, but I can’t say I’m mad I spent an evening on it.

I’ll be there Wednesday night. Not quite sure what to expect, but I’m optimistic about this.
Zaks & ROTTEN! team to work on DOUBTFIRE musical Aug 28

If I remember correctly, McClure led the last reading when it was still going to be a Menken score. I wouldn’t be surprised if he continued with this team considering how long he did Rotten with them for. I think Zaks is a great choice for this project and I can see where the skepticism about the Something Rotten team comes in. I think that they could do something really wonderful with this though. They certainly have the whismy, but some pieces of Rotten including parts that were cut in preview

I can’t believe tonight has finally arrived. I can’t wait for the pure electricity in the room this evening and also for the immense sadness that comes with knowing I won’t be able to head over to the Shubert and witness the magic anymore. Looking forward to meeting several of you and enjoying the show tonight.
As an aside, Last June I sent a SASE with $50 and received a full original cast signed playbill including Midler. It’s one of my most prized possessions!

I thought she was fine but I didn’t love her performance by any means. Beanie was far superior. "
Hello Dolly Partial View? Jul 22

Bumping to see if anyone has sat in B9 or B11 and could comment on the partial view situation. I just got them for my grandparents who have already seen Donna and Bernadette and want to see Bette. Curious to see how much they will miss.

Bravo to the Disney Company for honoring his contribution to the Broadway Community.

Dollypop, where were you seated? My hunch says you were the person in red having the best time in front row center of the balcony with the infectious energy.

Today made me even more excited for the sheer electricity that will bring down the house at the final performance. The balcony was definitely filled with people who love this production and it was magic just to be there. I thought this was Bernadette’s best performance out of the 4 times I’ve seen her. Before the Parade Passes By was my personal highlight of the day. I do wish there had been more to acknowledge them at curtain call, but as mentioned above ever moment today felt special.

The underuse of Danny Burstein sounds criminal. Seeing him do “Like a Virgin” was the thing about this I was most excited about. Hope some changes occur to give him something to do.

I won on a Thursday Night in March and was in the 4th row of the orchestra on the right hand side with the aisle seat right near the guitarists.

Early 20’s guy who grew up in a really small CT town doing theatre from the time I was 6. Went to a performing arts high school and decided that I was going to spend my life working in the field. Currently working on my BFA in Musical Theatre at an awesome program in New Jersey just 25 minutes from theatre district. I’ve been lucky to play incredible roles like Max in The Producers, Barfeé in Spelling Bee, and getting ready to do The Mystery of Edwin Drood. I also direct at an educational progra
