I know it would've changed the tone of the event, but damn I really wanted Jessica Vosk to sing No Good Deed. She sings it so singularly, would've loved to have it preserved in some way.

Just special, I guess.
"No Kendra? But she is in all the Instagrams from last night of other people who were there."
Maybe she was there and I didn't notice her. They basically all came out at once and sang in pairs. I just assumed if SJB wasn't there then Kendra wasn't either.

Kendra was definitely there - she paired off with Julia Murney.
"Ledisi & Adam Lambert - As Long As You're Mine (her 4/10, him 6/10)"
Personally I thought they were both great.
"Current Broadway Cast - One Short Day"
This was pre-recorded in its full staging at the Gershwin. I wonder if it will presented in its complete form or if it will be edited down.
Kristin - Popular (20/10)
She definitely stole the show. She had to re-perform the song at the end of the taping due to a technical error the first time.
Pentatonix - What Is This Feeling? (2/10)
This was a rather bizarre performance.
Idina - Defying Gravity (7/10)
The orchestrations are weird for this. And Menzel wanted to re-record a portion of it, but was convinced to re-sing the entire song instead.
Jackie Burns (during the dress rehearsal because Ariana "had a prior engagement" AKA sleeping) - The Wizard & I (10/10)
I actually like Grande's voice, but her diction is non-existent, and she performs as if she recently had a stroke? Can she not sing without her head being tilted or her eyes open?
Kristin & Idina (with past Elphabas and Glindas) - For Good (9/10 because there was no SJB, Kendra or Lindsay)"
This was a surprise because t didn't feel like anyone in the audience was expecting the extra Glindas and Elphabas. But Kendra was most definitely there. Also, she and SJB will get a little bit of screen time, as they featured quite a bit of footage from the original First National Tour promos.
Yeah, the weird thing about the Pentatonix performance was you’d expect the whole point of booking them was to get an a capella version of a familiar song, and the band accompanied them anyway.
I think the reason the Popular performance popped more than the others is they took the time to find a creative way of representing the song, other than just having a really talented singer belting (as silly as I felt holding up turned off camera phone.)
Idina singing Defying Gravity was still pretty great, but much less thought was put into the staging.

Hi greenifyme2 - Could you possibly share the contact information for whoever you were in touch with to upgrade your ticket? I have a few questions about preshow stuff Tuesday and I haven’t been able to connect with anyone with answers. Thanks!!
I’m loving this so far!! Haha. Kristen’s popular performance was really fun!

I thought that for good would be the last thing to make me cry, but then Kristen JUST had to mention Carole. Ugh. It’s time to go to bed.
