I figured since this is the only social platform I'm semi-anonymous on, I thought I'd get some of your advice.
I'm co-directing a show at my college through an RSO that does student-led productions. I am interested in one of the actors in the show, and was thinking of asking her out. We are both students, but would it be appropriate to ask her out, considering I'm directing her?
I want to make it very, very clear that I DID NOT CAST HER BECAUSE OF THIS REASON. I cast her because of her talent. In fact, she was our second choice for the role, and the first was already cast in another show. We cast her, and I happened to become interested in her after that.
I was gonna say the same thing. What if she turned down your offer. Would it affect your business relationship? You may say no, but in reality it probably will. Wait till the show is over.

Gillyflowers, I'd say. Nothin' like a nice bowl of gillys.
Back when I was 25, I did a show with a director whom I had seen in a Broadway show when I was 15 and had a crush on ever since. Throughout the entire process of putting up the show, he was tough on my performance...to the point where I was like, 'You've ruined my teenage lust!' About 7-8 months after the show closed, he managed to rekindle that and we spend of number of lovely nights together. You know what they say...soon will come, soon will last...wait.
I went through this man, so the best decision was to wait until the show ended. The same happened to me with my lovely student at the choreography. I fell in love with her at first sight, even though I thought she wouldn't give me a chance because she was already engaged. I waited for her to break up, which was not the case. She got married after one year, I felt like a loser. All my energy, all my love was in vain. But I was already 30 years old, and I had to find a woman to build a strong relationship with. All my friends already have and kids. So, I was searching and searching on dating sites asianfriendly.com to find her. Guess what, and I did it! She is intelligent, humble, courageous, and so funny. Even though I had never believed in this dating site, I gave it a try! And here I'm planning my wedding for this summer. So excited!
Even Leslie Odom Jr and Nicolette Robinson waited until the show concluded. And they are cute as hell. It can get messy and dramatic fast, and not the good kind. Wait and see what happens.
Lol! But Alex, did you two date? Don't leave us hanging! Heck, you two could have gotten married and had a baby or two by now!

No, nothing ever happened, but we're still friends. In a bizarre twist of fate, I just started dating a girl I met acting in a play with, and now I'm music directing her in a musical.
Ahhhhh....young love. Hope it's everything you wish it to be.
