I was looking through a couple actors Instagram accounts and stories and I saw a picture of Eva in a story of someone who is currently involved with the King Kong workshop. The picture had Eva in a rehearsal room with the hashtag “monkey business.” If she is it would boost my excitement for this show ten times. I wonder who she’s playing.

Just curious, when is the last time any story about "King Kong" has been successful? Ms. Noblezada is from where I live and went to the same high school as my daughters so I am hoping she does not get involved in this project - lol.

Wasn't the Australian run of this very successful?

Why? It seems to me that most would be proud of an alumna of their children's school being cast in yet another Broadway show. The King Kong franchise is still going strong. As RW3 said, the last movie was quite a hit. Universal Studios opened a new (very successful) King Kong ride last year.

The Brie Larson and Naomi Watts films each made upwards of 500 million. So no, it’s not successful. Lol

They may have revamped the hell out of it for we know. I do remember, during one of the first stories about it coming to Broadwa, it was mentioned that there was an issue with the score. The show was a period piece but the score was too contemporary.

I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but helicopters do not play a role in King Kong. Sure they were in Skull Island as a method of transportation, but this is not an adaptation of that...nor was it ever a major plot point.
Wait yeah, I was visualizing helicopters, but weren’t they propeller planes that were shooting at Kong?

I don't believe I ever said it was not successful, I asked what was the last time it was successful. Obviously, the original was popular and all I could remember at the time of my post was the awful remake with Jessica Lange.

I would love to see her in another Broadway show, I think she is great. I just don't think this is going to be the type of show that should be a musical, I said the same thing about "Rocky". I guess we will all see in the near future.
