You invite sarcasm Jorge. On the serious side maybe Kennedy, she's been nothing more than ambassador to Japan, but she is more celebrity than government, Kevin Spacey might get some votes.
Whenever I watch old reruns of The Love Boat from the 1980's, I think Gopher, just in how diplomatically he handled all the guest stars and interacted with Doc and Isaac, should have gone into politics.

I can't imagine he'll run for a major seat like President, but I definitely see Lin-Manuel Miranda moving further into the political side of his actor/activist dichotomy as time passes.
NONE. Absolutely none. They've all made different choices regarding their "first choice" careers.
It's fantastic that celebrities are supportive and active in politics, but just because we all have the freedom to participate in government, it doesn't mean that everyone should seek office.
Hello, Trump - "I'm a General --- WHEEEeeee!"
I think all those running for a political office should have to prove their qualification and ability to execute the duties of their office, as well as knowledge of history and political science - in EXACTLY the same way that no one in the US can be hired as a public school teacher unless they can produce their credentials (via state certification requirements).
As a country, we insist on that regarding educating our children. Why in the world do we allow any schmo off the boob tube to be Commander in Chief without first demonstrating accredited proof of their competency/knowledge of government, history and/or political science?????

I could not disagree more. Look at Senator Al Franken. He is one of the most thoughtful and dedicated members of the Senate. I hope he is seriously considering a run against Trump in 2020. We need more public servants like him willing to put in the time and effort to say "I want to help, but I don't understand this issue. Please teach me."

Yup. "NONE" (in all caps) was over-the-top, and I agree with you about Senator Franken's commitment to office.
Still, I stand by my suggestion that those who want to hold public office should be credentialed, as required for public school teachers. The notion that a "celebrity" (and that definition is up for debate, even in the case of Sen. Franken) might be a viable candidate to hold public office sets off red flags in me - i.e., their celebrity status can easily mask, or blind people to the shortcomings that would make them ineffective in office.
I also don't want to imply that this isn't an interesting thread topic. Hope Jorge doesn't feel that way!
John, I totally get what you. I still believe Chance and lin would be perfect for government, though. Chance has already made a bit of a name of himself in the Chicago political scene. He would be a great mayor someday. I could also see lin becoming Governor General of Puerto Rico. Or maybe senator when it eventually becomes a state(only in my dreams).

I think his political career is going to be over real shortly - lol
I digress, Al isn't a celebrity any more he's a Senator. Is he a good guy, probly. I'd hate to see his career ruined over Leeann Tweeden, when we have several back-ups like 7 that Moore has we can talk. Until then, I believe in Al.
What i’m confused about regarding the Al situation is why is that picture only coming out now? Or has it been released before?
