I’m shocked that it’s Monday night and no one has started a thread for this yet.

Did anyone else watch this weekend? Thoughts? Theory? Go ahead and post them here!

Just finished last night and absolutely LOVED it.  Especially the John Hughes-y final scene.  I was the same age as those boys at that time, so it feels almost as if the show was written for me.  And Max is a great new addition to the cast.

I said the same thing last season, but I don't know where they're going to go with it. We know what happened with Eleven's mother, the Hawkins Lab is gone, Eleven's going to have a normal life.

That said, this easily ties with Breaking Bad as my favorite television show of all time. The philosophical implications of the Upside Down are very interesting to me. The Demagorgans and other inhabitants of the Upside Down survive by traveling into our dimension and feeding on us. It's a world that's survival depends on the suffering of it's sister world.

The Hawkins Lab may be gone, but not everyone associated with it is gone.  The other girl is out there in Chicago (and there may be others in addition to the two of them) and that thing is still rampaging in the Upside Down.  I think they left open some possibilities.  Eleven was allowed to attend that that evening, but wasn't she going to be taken away for a year?

I never got past the first episode of Breaking Bad, but Stranger Things is easily one of my top shows of all time (with Sense8, The Leftovers, Six Feet Under, Fringe and Big Love).  And though the show itself might not have been as strong, Orphan Black deserves its place as well, simply for giving us Tatiana Maslany, the greatest actor I've seen on television thus far.

Loved the inclusion of Sean Astin this season. It was a great homage to The Goonies. Sad his character had to die though.

With an 11 and an 8, anyone else think there are at least nine others out there? Perhaps we'll see in future seasons.

I also like the characters so much that it could really be about anything (teen drama, situation comedy) and I'd probably watch.

I just realized how cute it is that the love triangle of Lucas-Max-Dustin are made up of former broadway child actors.

^^my thoughts exactly! I think next season should be some kind of prequel where they go more into depth with terry and dr. Brenner.

Also don't forget what was left in the freezer. It was never mentioned again.

It’s been a week since I’ve finished this and I can’t get it out of my head. Can’t wait for season 3! Netflix is easily my favorite platform to watch television. Now that the crown and black mirror are on their way back I have more reason to love it.

I couldn't get past that ridiculous hair they gave him.

Finished it last week and watched all of the BEYOND STRANGER THINGS 2 episodes the other day.

Enjoyed it. I really liked the cabin scenes with eleven especially when she has that little telekinetic tantrum.

Matt, I remember that hair from the 80's in the area I lived in. I loved it!

Why did the demi dogs have to exit the gate when it was really easy to dig through the earth in the tunnels. Hell the Sheriff did it by himself.

uncageg - I remember something similar to that hair from those days, but I never liked it.  This series is somewhat mixing the era a bit, though.  I think he's supposed to have the metal mullet, but it's closer to the surfer dude a la Fast Times at Ridgemont High.  I liked it better when it was modified a few years later to something closer to George Clooney in Facts of Life.  But Steve's hairstyle is really a bit more towards the late 80s.  That volume and amount of product was more like 87-88.  And I don't know what they were thinking with Will's bowl cut.  Perhaps Ricky Schroder in Little Lord Fauntleroy?
