I just found that picture while searching on Instagram, it's not mine. I haven't seen the show yet, I will be attending tomorrow's performance. Funny enough I'm on the third row of the orchestra so I'll be able to report back tomorrow night!

That would be great and much appreciated! I also have 3rd row orchestra seats for the middle of Sept. They're discounted tickets, but I'm wondering if it would be worth exchanging for first row orchestra or stage seats. Thanks again and enjoy the show!

Looks like it's a lovely show for elderly gentlemen judging by this audience, how nice.

I got tickets yesterday for mid October. I was on the fence about this, but then I saw the youtube clip of the jail segment and I was hooked. Can't wait to see it.

I really enjoyed it, but it's definitely not gonna be everyone's cup of tea. I sat in the onstage section and wow wow wowit wasintense. The performer playing Alex (who transferred from the West End) was phenomenal. He's gotta a bright future ahead of him."

Isn't he amazing? A star is born. He's also very easy on the eye as well as being a sensational actor. A huge future awaits him

Sightlines in the theater are good. And I think you will be quite fine for this production.

So the first two rows are on the same level, from the third row up, it's raked. But it doesn't really help much, the stage is pretty much the same level as the first two rows so they do block your view. Specially because the actors spend a reasonable amount of time on the floor.

I would recommend either first row, or a bit further up so you can get the whole picture. During a lot of times my view was blocked. Same for stage seating, if you can't get the first row you will most likely have an obstructed view.

Someone walked out in the first 15 minutes of it.

Good to know! Thanks for the info LxGstv! I'm going to try to upgrade my tickets to the first row. I'll call Telecharge tomorrow. Did you enjoy the show? Would you recommend it?

Unlike the patron who walked out, I enjoyed it quite a lot, but I'm a huge fan of the movie, so that definitely helped. If you are familiar with the story and have no problems with homoerotic, then yes, I would absolutely recommend it.

If this is your introduction to a clockwork orange I probably wouldn't recommend it? It will certainly be an interesting night out regardless...

edit: also figured I'd add that Jonno Davies is indeed amazing. He's also funny!

Just got back. You can see from almost anywhere in the theater. Personally I would suggest sitting around row H thru J in the center section. They use the side exits for entrances. I had a perfect view of everything.

It clocked in around 95-100 minutes. Lots of fight scenes and I figure that after the cast gets comfortable with them it may shave some time off.

I was impressed that they didn't seem to change slang for American audiences. The accents are good and the cast seems to work very well together even in this early stage of previews. I would see it again.

I'm a huge fan of the movie and of Kubrick's work, in general. The movie is among my all-time favorites. I realize that this is very different from the movie, but, in addition to the Kubrick film, I'm familiar with the book and story and am excited to see how it has been interrupted and adapted for the stage. Thanks again for all the info!

Hate to be that guy but I really did not enjoy this. It came off amateurish, try hard, and unnecessary. This story of toxic masculinity fused with "look at me" homoeroticism that goes absolutely no where, where everyone is just screaming the whole time and calling it "acting". I also thought the all black costumes with the orange accents were tacky as hell. The actor playing Alex does a fine job, even when he continues to incessantly yell. I couldn't help but roll my eyes whenever anyone's shirt came off. It just felt like a big "meh" and "why now? why tell this story now?" kept ringing in my ears. Mind you, I enjoy theatre off the beaten path with more experimental elements involved, so it wasn't a distaste for the style, I just thought this was poorly poorly done.

The screaming didn't bother me. They are a gang and then he was in jail with violent inmates. I expected it. And it wasn't really amplified. JMO

We were also there last night and didn't enjoy it. Jonno Davies was good though. Hints of American Psycho, except Psycho was so much better.

The audience was completely full, but it did not get a standing ovation, and got a very mellow applause last night.

In case anyone is wondering, we got $29 rush tickets for the show. They were on side stage seating closest to the front of the stage. We usually go for the cheap tickets if possible and understand that they are partial view. Usually we have pretty good luck with the rush tickets, but I have to say the seats they offer for this show are horrible that it's not worth paying anything for them. You are basically watching the show facing everyone's back, and 90% of the time the view is blocked... Just FYI..

That's very interesting because I was at Sunday evening's performance and they did get a standing ovation.   And the audience was also completely full.  I guess the audience's response will vary from night to night.  I personally liked the show, but I have nothing to compare it to since I've not seen the movie nor read the book.

Well, if they are screaming someone else's words, while doing someone else's blocking, to the service of someone else's story, I think that is the correct term. Whether you find it effective is entirely a different point.

People in the second row center orchestra probably had the same problem. And they were all premium seats. I was in the third row (first raked row) and it wasn't a great view either.

It's funny, at some point during the show I remember thinking that most of the seats (around me) have horrible sight lines.

I think this will be another 1984, some will love it, some will hate it, some will question why does it even exist?!

No nudity. Lots of undressing, but down to underwear only.

If you're dying to see nudity while at NWS, go see Naked Boys Singing.

I had thought Naked Boys Singing had finally slipped into well-deserved oblivion. When did it come back? I see it plays a Saturday 6PM performance only (once a week), at the tiny Kirk Theatre. I suppose that's so people can have time afterwards to see a real show...

Anyway, everyone knows that the latest naked boy show is Afterglow, at the seedy Davenport.

I was in row J 5 seats in center. What was wrong with ghe view from the 3rd row? The stage is so wide open I would suspect you could see everything except when the priest comes out and speaks from the side exit. And you can turn and see him.

From my seat I could actually see the priest perfectly in that scene. But every time I performer was on the floor, my view was blocked and I couldn't see them. I could tell what was going on, but I missed a lot of expressions from the actors because of it. Towards the end specially, Jonno Davies spends a lot of time on the floor. Even during the treatment scenes I could only see half of him.

Similar to lostphantom's experience, but not as bad.
