All right well James Corden could not even come close to being able to rap the Marquis de Lafayette parts from Hamilton, but I don't know if anyone can besides Daveed Diggs. And that Les Miz song was the coolest thing ever--who would have thought you could make Eponine a comic character?
That was a great combination of people to do One Day More with. Pretty fabulous stuff.

Daveed can rap very fast and has released several songs that are difficult to match speed with, but Guns and Ships isn't one of them. Pretty sure every 14 year old fan I've seen online can do it, I can do it, Lin can do it (despite always trying to play up Daveed and claim he can't).

Is it just me or this is WAY TOO SHORT!?!?!?! More songs, more banter, more interviewing, more everything, please! This was amazing, and I loved One Day More (yaaassss) and of course, Lin had to play Valjean. I had to watch the bit between Jesse/Audra/Jane over and over again. And also Lin hyping during the song, just too good. Les Mis Carpool Karaoke Remix.
I hope by the end of the month I'll have seen all the folks in the backseat live. Snowball's chance in hell I'll see the driver and shotgun live in performance though. :)

He messed up one line, but he's even done it on his show. It's really not that fast or difficult to do

Type Guns and Ships in to Youtube. There's like a million of them
i thought this as well. I kind of thought it was really awkward when they were singing Hamilton.

That whole Les Miz sing-a-long was incredible. I was also hoping for "Seasons of Love" that Audra would do the female solo part.

Here's just one example. They're easily found online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC5M9yRV0_8
Not to derail but my point is that being able to rap Guns and Ships doesn't take an "accomplished rapper". It has a couple of lines that are fast-ish, but they're not really difficult to say. The song he showcased on Fallon (and once for a #ham4ham) not only has lines that cram 5 more syllables into the same 3 seconds as the famous Guns and Ships line; he also spat it out faster than even the album version (which was impressive enough), and it has parts that are tricky to say while being intelligible ("time to be outside instead", "to carry no remorse at all"; maybe it doesn't translate to text but these are hard at 9.3 syllables/second).
That takes immeasurably more skill, and I read an interview once where he said that he works hard to do it, and once wrote a song even he couldn't do so he had to practice getting better for months by recording other songs. Your average online Hamilton fan might dedicate a little time to being able to sing along with Guns and Ships, but they probably don't hone their craft as their life's work.

I saw Hamilton Saturday and he was great but afterwards my gf commented that he looked exhausted. And he screwed up a line in hurricane which I'm going to attribute to him being tired (not that a slip up is a huge deal). Guy needs a month off
