This show is not very good but it's not nearly as bad as the NY Times review. Theo Stockman is incredible and all his songs are great, I really loved the "Goodbye 54" number. The story is awful. Chad and Sammy are boring characters. Kennedy delivers great vocals but her character is lame. The coat check couple does not fit anywhere into the equation and should have been cut. But Stockman is basically worth the price of admission for a cheap ticket.

If you are I was wondering if I could stand with you before the box office opens the day of and I would pay your ticket for you for the inconvenience!"
Seriously stop. By doing this you'd be cheating someone who possibly waited 5 hours out of a ticket. Just play the lottery
Selling my $32 TDF ticket for Hedwig at the State theatre tomorrow night 5/21 at 8 PM. I will pick it up and give it to you in person to avoid any conflict with the box office. I wanted to go but it's too late considering the time I have work on monday.
1st of all I'm not expecting I'm asking. 2nd of all I'm hoping for goodwill from someone not everyone is as limited with their funds as I am. 3rd of all someone telling me what happens at the end of the play is not the same thing as seeing the end of the play (especially considering that there is probably no big reveal, it's not a plot driven play) and I'm pretty sure if I just wanted someone to "tell me what happened" I could get that for free.
I had been eagerly awaiting my chance to see Annie Baker's the Antipodes for months. I got $30 the day they went on sale months ago for yesterday, May 13th at 2 PM. Around 100 minutes into the 115 minute play a fire alarm went off and we were evacuated. The rest of the performance was cancelled. After being on the phone for the entire morning with the box office I have been told there is no possible way to get me into a future performance without a cancellation. &n
The Great Comet is done with one set, but I could see regional theaters doing it with multiple.
If you are looking for plays or musicals that take place in one location. This season off the top of my head (besides what was listed already) I can think of Jitney, Master Harold and the Boys, Marie & Rosetta, Hedwig (not this season but still fits).
Amelie will defiantly close first. It's numbers have been going down and down. Anastasia, A Bronx Tale, and Charlie will not be affected at all they have all been selling extremely well these past few weeks and will likely continue to. Bandstand on the other hand will probably not last very long either. A Dolls House Part 2 may close if their numbers don't go up at least a little from these nominations. I feel like they are losing tons of money every week
I won for Pacific Overtures on Friday after entering maybe 10 times. I was surprised because the show is selling very well and it's a small theatre. I also got to use the $10 discount code TodayTix sent out for the weekend which was great.
I've also recently won Groundhog Day which seems pretty easy, I won after 3 tries and my friend won for the same day (and this was not on a day Andy was out)
I think DEH, Hamilton, and Anastasia are the hard o
I really enjoyed this production and Doyle's direction. I found the entire experience to be very beautiful. I had not seen any other production or heard a single song previously so that gives me a different perspective than many people on this thread. That being said, I think a production like this is better viewed without comparing it to the original. I feel like it is often very easy to feel nostalgic for an original production that you viewed many time
I'd call this review mostly positive. I feel like Brantley was using the word "decent" to mean human decency not as a one word summation of his feelings o
