On the Graham Norton Show, they showed a clip of Judy Dench speak-singing The Invitation of the Jellicle Ball, which is interesting https://youtu.be/gFm_NtR7aQs?t=425

Also in the "Not getting married" scene, is the character now the bridesmaid instead of best man? This makes more sense, because in the original book it really feels like 2 men ganging up on the woman."
And I'm still high on movie musical from The Greatest Showman and Mamma Mia 2 that I can't wait any longer for Mary Poppin Returns, I guess it will debut tmr with Christopher Robin right?

Can you tell us if Lily James was offered the role or she auditioned? If she auditioned, who else was in contender?
So joyous, so happy, so emotional. This movie is the movie of the summer for me. And I agree with someone on Twitter that asks to ban all straight white men to review this movie lol.
While I enjoyed the show, there're still many flaws. Mainly in the story and the pop songs.
Also, I think Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivio was miscast. They're talented for sure, the voices are amazing, but they're just kinda bland. Moulin Rouge movie's success was part Nicole Kidman's movie star power and charisma, and Karen Olivio just is not on the same caliber

I agree that they should re-arrange some of the pop songs. They sound too similar to the originals. I was so pissed when the audience clapped along the beat of Rolling In The Deep, in the middle of a dramatic moment.
