I was in center rear mezzanine along the aisle at the 8pm performance of Tuck Everlasting on Saturday the 16th and noticed this girl sitting by herself directly in front of me.  I planned to try to talk to her right after the show, but she expertly got out of her aisle seat and beat the crowd down the stairs the second the house lights came back on, so I never got the chance.

I'm hoping someone knows her or maybe she's a member here.  She was an Asian girl with glasses in her mid 20s, who spent most of the show with her head leaning against the column next to her seat.  Based on the seating chart, she was in Mezzanine row H, seat 101.  I'm a guy (in row J, seat 101) and was sitting with my female coworker.  I noticed she looked my way a couple times, but it felt weird to try to talk to her with my coworker there.

Probably a pretty slim chance that this works out, but I guess there's no harm in posting.  She also might have been a tourist since I saw her browsing through what looked like one of those pocket-sized "things to do in NY" coupon books you get from the hotel.

I'm confused as to what you are asking for and why with this post??? I'm not being snarky at all. I'm just wanting to know.

Flashback to the back page of the Village Voice, early 1980s.  Remember those ships regrettably passing in the night posts? Before the web and social media?

This is probably the first missed connection on BWW hahah!

Drama, they're basically seeing if she will see this so they can connect for some romance. "Missed connection" is a Craigslist personals category to try and get in contact with someone you ran into/made eye contact/ was In the left turn lane..... Whatever. I doubt it's ever successful.

Anyway, good luck dude!

I don't think there's anything sad about this at all.  Quite the opposite.  It's probably happened to a lot of us and we did nothing about it.   Good luck to you!

There is absolutely nothing sad about this and FYI - not the first missed connection on BWW. If I remember correctly, the last one was successful in being connected.

At least you were entertained by something while having to endure that show.

This is what happens when we let straight people into a Broadway musical!

Ah, romance. I miss romance. The last romantic thing my husband did for me was in 1972 when he enclosed this carport so I could support him.

Yes this is "SO COOL" until someone comes up missing. If you were that interested and are going through these lengths. You have put just as much effort into merely waking up to them and conversing. This is just really creepy.

Wasn't the last missed connection thread an attempt to track down a merch guy? Good times.

They should make an indie movie about this.

I think it's sweet. And yes, there was missed connection with the merch guy at Les Mis, and I recall they did actually meet up. (I remember becaus I also wished I had a chance with the same merch guy!)

That's right it was the Les Mis merch guy! I wonder whatever happened with them? Was it a happy ending?

She just may have been casting glances your way hoping you'd rescue her from that painful-to-watch performance. I know headed for the exit as soon as politely possible.
