Does anyone else get caught up in watching Hallmark Christmas movies? I know many of the production values are weak and the stories are similar in their themes; but I cannot seem to help myself. Am I alone in all of this? If you are addicted feel to post your favorites. Mine would be the Mrs. Miracle series with Doris Roberts. PS. The new 2015 movies have very obvious Folgers coffee product placement and it is kind of amusing.
I have to admit I've gotten into them this year. Is it just me or is Candace Cameron in almost all of them? My favorite that I've seen so far is the one where Nicollette Sheridan plays a woman in a coma. I don't remember what it was called, but it was a cool concept.
Once in a while they premiere one on a major channel which is kind of cool since that was done on a regular basis during my childhood. The Hallmark Hall Of Fame. The commercials were always about finding the perfect Hallmark card for your loved one. Maybe Folgers merged with Hallmark.
There was one on a few years ago called Christmas In Conway with Mary Louise Parker and Andy Garcia which had higher production values than normal and the two were good together. A lot of the Santa casting in Hallmark films seems to come from the Dinner Theatres out of Ohio but in some weird way it kind of works.
One of my favorite Non Hallmark Christmas movies is Home For The Holidays with Holly Hunter. She nails it and I identified with the whole idea of how adults return home to their parents and they are no longer adults but children. I also can watch The Family Stone over and over again.
Lord help me. I have now moved over to Lifetime Christmas movies. I may have to go a 12 step program for Christmas movie addiction. I just watched one with Captain Awesome from Chuck and the girl from Beaches.
I don't like the Lifetime Christmas movies as much. I wish Hallmark would retire the 2004, A Boyfriend for Christmas. There is just something about the title that doesn't sit right with me.

Between the two Hallmark channels, ION and UP, I've got 26 DVRed and another 8 scheduled. Can't schedule further than seven days out. Still have 4 more to schedule. These are only 2015 movies. Oh, and I have a Word doc. Title, debut date/time, and channel bolded and highlighted yellow. Movie synopsis follows. After DVRing, highlight color changes to blue and movie gets crossed out in red. I take my Christmas movies seriously!!
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2."unleash the girly"
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
We have Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery on in the background right now while cooking dinner. They're always perfect background noise while doing other activities during the holiday season.

Finna Strazza from Matilda is in A Christmas Melody. Mariah Carey directs and stars. It is cute enough but is over directed and Mariah has filmed herself through gauze.
Is Window Wonderland the one where the guy and girl get locked in the department store by mistake and are competing for a window dresser position?
I totally agree about Mariah Carey in A Christmas Melody. It looked like her scenes were filmed at a different time then everyone else's. I really enjoy Lacey Chabert's acting in the movies she has done on the Hallmark Channel. I remember her from her time as Little Cosette in Les Miserables on Broadway.

It was also nice to see another Broadway actor, Kevin Chamberlain, as a supporting role in A Christmas Melody. I like both Lacey and Mariah and I was glad I saw it, even though parts of it did seem rushed.
I think Lacey is one of the better actresses they use in the Hallmark Rep Company. She is quite likeable and a good crier. And yes Window Wonderland is the one where they get caught in the department store. Paul Campbell has a great sense of spontaneity and he has good chemistry with the female actress from Supergirl.
The 12 Gifts of Christmas stars a gorgeous Calvin Klein underwear model who plays a gay character or the Haves and Have Not's.

I loved The 12 Gifts of Christmas this year -- it hit all the notes that a Hallmark Christmas movie should, IMO. And, yes, Aaron O'Connell is as good as they get when it comes to Hallmark Channel hunks.
