I completely agree with everyone who has mentioned that AIDA deserved to be nominated for Best Musical (and it definitely would have won).
I would like to add Tovah Feldshuh in IRENA'S VOW - still one of the best performances I've seen on stage, but wasn't nominated.

If I were the type of person to leave a show at intermission, I certainly would have done so at The Lightning Thief. Excruciating from start to finish. The (mostly) negative reviews are spot on.

Saw Hugh at Nassau Coliseum tonight (after having previously seen him at MSG back in June). What a treat to see this show again. Hugh was spectacular as always. Act 1 was slightly different...Keala sang both This Is Me and another new song she wrote called Harder, whereas Keala only sang This Is Me at MSG. Hugh did not sing Soliloquy tonight...maybe it was dropped? Act 2 was identical except during the Australian sequence Nomad Two Worlds, there were only three Aboriginal performers instead o

This show was in previews 40 years ago! Opened on July 31, 1979. Still hoping and praying that we will see BUT NEVER JAM TODAY revived...and Brenda Braxton should play Persona Non Grata! A guy can dream...

My coworker just saw the tour in Denver, CO, so as of last weekend, the tour was still operational. I'm still shocked the tour even happened...

I bought my single ticket two days before the performance and it was $150 and in an excellent location. Well worth that price. Hugh really puts on an excellent show.

I just checked various dates on telecharge for August and September - the cheapest option is $89 in the side rear mezz. Sadly, it doesn't appear that there are any $25 tickets on sale. Maybe that will be the rush price?
