Anyone seeing the first preview on Saturday?

I'm really pulling for this show, and that it finds an audience. I've heard great things, and I can't wait to see it May 2nd!

I think I'm catching this in April. Very excited to see it based on all the buzz it rec'd from Off Bway.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Have a ticket to the final preview in early April can't wait.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I'll be there on the 19th. I'm extremely excited, I missed it off-Broadway and I've heard nothing but great things about the play.

Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that Broadway's Hand to God will again offer early theatergoers the chance to catch this new American play at a special price: $33.00 per ticket, in recognition of the 33 countries around the world that ban the political use of hand puppets. A limited quantity of select mezzanine seats at this special price will be available beginning Saturday, March 14th for performances from March 16th through April 6th and must be purchased during a limited one week on-sale window (through 11:00 PM on Sunday, March 22nd). There is also a limit of 4 tickets per purchase, and tickets will be available online, via phone or at the box office.

(The recently announced on-sale window for $20.15 special pricing for select previews performances expires on Friday, March 13th at 11:00PM, as previously announced.)

These discounts are amazing and hilarious. Smart marketing for a new/risky play.

Just picked up a pair of $20.15 tickets at the Booth for 3/21 matinee. Not many tickets left at that price.

Hi,
bought tickets for this for the 27/3 three or four days ago for upcoming trip but have not received the tickets yet. On previous trips I have received tickets straight away. I have emailed telecharge but not heard anything and thought I would check here to see if anyone else has experienced this before I make the international phone call. When I go to the order on my Telecharge account, under order details it says the following

Your Delivery Information:
These tickets are not yet emailed

thanks in advance.

In some cases, Telecharge will wait to email tickets to a customer. There is usually a duration (approx. 2-4 business days) before they arrive in your inbox.

Good luck and Happy Theatergoing!

Going tonight! I bought a ticket for the Off-Broadway run and missed the date. And I almost couldn't go tomorrow! I feel like I'm just not meant to see this show? We'll see.

I'll be there for the first preview tonight, too.

"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." Bought my tickets to the matinee on Saturday, March 21! Definitely excited to see this one, although I knew so little about it until I heard about the $20.15 promo.

This was the best thing I saw onstage last year and it's even better now.

And it's only intermission.

My fears of a transfer ruining the humor or having certain moments being lost in a bigger house are completely calmed. It's funnier, sharper, and cleaner than ever. Alex Sharp had better watch his back come Tony time. Miss this one and you'll regret it. Especially if you missed it downtown.

The best thing I've seen on Broadway so far this season. It'll be hard to top. Don't miss it.

I saw it tonight too and I'm conflicted. While I loved it and enjoyed it and laughed my ass off - it's not a great play. There are some lulls and some dead moments. The ending, I thought, was pretty lame compared to had just preceded it. We don't get to know any of the characters sans for the main two, which is fine, but I felt like the "love interest" character was just such a sketch of a human being. Also, what accent were they all going for?

I know everyone will scream about Boyer and he more than delivers, he's great, amazing in fact. But I was really engaged in the Mother. Probably my favorite performance on Broadway currently. She just killed it for me. She was so spot on and engaged with the other actors, I was just mesmerized by her, which is maybe why when we got to the scenes with only Boyer and the puppet did I find myself drifting. Those scenes just went on for forever and no new information was really every brought up or talked about, thus making them kind of just sit in and standstill until the next joke came around.

This is by all means a small quibble. It's great and hilarious and fresh. It will def be a hit with the 20 somethings - as most of the balcony was under 40. But I'm not sure if that can sustain a long run or not.

I thought the direction/design was outstanding.
