For those you saw it off-Broadway, do you remember the running time? The website says 1 hour, 45 mins and I've seen other sites say it ran closer to 1 hour, 30 mins. I know running time can be approximate, but I'm trying to see if I can get the 10pm Hedwig in after the 8pm on Saturday. I think I'll be okay, but was trying to see how much time I'd have.

Thanks!

I know others did it for Lady Day, but the trek from Circle in the Square to the Belasco will likely be a stressful one at that time of night in Times Square. I would imagine it definitely wouldn't be doable in 15 minutes if the running time is 1 hour and 45 minutes like the website states. If you have any interest in seeing the Visit, it would be a good alternative for you. Its running time is 90 minutes, and the theatres are much closer.

How is that distance not doable in 15 minutes? It's six blocks down and one and a half over. Cut straight across 50th to 6th Avenue and go straight down to 44th to avoid the "stress".

I shouldn't have said definitely not doable. It would be possible like frogs_fan85 suggests, but with such a small margin of time, everything would have to go off without a hitch. With the chance that Fun Home may not start on time, that schedule would be stressful for me personally. Perhaps it wouldn't bother you.

onesongglory2, if it makes you feel any better we are planning on doing the same thing. And just as frogs_fan suggests, we are planning to walk straight to 6th avenue and walk down 6th to 44th street. The line to get into the Belasco for Hedwig is near the corner of 6th avenue and 44th street. Even though it may be a slightly longer route than walking down Broadway or 7th avenue, it will avoid all of the Times Square pedestrian traffic and I think it will end up being quicker .... or at the very least, more predictable.

Seeing the Visit instead of Fun Home is also a great idea. We saw Disgraced at the Lyceum and then easily got to the Belasco before they even started letting the line in the door. In this case, seeing the Visit and Hedwig does not work with our particular schedule, although it may for you.

But I would love to hear from anyone else if the Off-Broadway Fun Home was actually shorter than the 1 hr 45 min listed on Telecharge, that would be very helpful.

We did this after Lady Day which ended about 9:40. We made a wrong turn and ended up going through Times Squrare, but still made it, barely. I'd do it again but would definitely go down 6th next time.

I am so jealous that you get to ask this question. Fun Home running time?

Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.

But should they see Fun Home?

It wasn't shorter. They usually started around 8:05 and got out around 9:50. Not sure whether there will be changes to the material and/or staging that will shorten (or lengthen) the show, but if they were to magically transport the Public Theater production, you'd get out at 9:50.

I chickened out and moved my tickets for The Visit to the same night as the 10 pm Hedwig. And I put Fun Home on a different day to give it the full attention it deserves!

How long is the running time for The Visit?

95 minutes with no intermission. It is less than a 5 minute walk one block from the Lyceum to Hedwig at the Belasco. We did the same thing in January ... Disgraced at the Lyceum at 8 pm and Hedwig at the Belasco at 10 pm, It worked great and we had 20 minutes to spare.

I was going to try and do the same thing in April but decided (for now anyways) to just watch fun home. I already saw Hedwig with NPH last year and would have loved to see JCM during this trip....so many shows, so little time.

If anyone else tries to do this before April 17, please let me know if it goes (fun home/Hedwig)
