But in all seriousness, the girl has a great voice and proved to be a great dancer, I'm excited for her upcoming project, whatever it may be.

I've always thought that her and former PCD Melody Thorton would have made a good Elphaba/Galinda combo. They'd be able to sing the score well enough at least.
Just because she was a theater major is NO indication of her "chops". Lots of students go through programs without talent. Many programs do not even require an audition. (I make no comment about her specific talents as I have no knowledge.)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Nicole Scherzinger is/was a member of the pop group THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS. They've had a number of hits under their garters including the chart toppers "Don't Cha" and "Buttons" to name just two.
She's undeniably beautiful, possesses a kick-ass body and a voice to match and can dance her @ss off. She can handle Broadway easily.
^ Yes it would be, but do enough people really know her to care about it? She was a good dancer on the show and did deserve to win, but I really didn't know who she was before the show aired. And I don't think I will continue to really care either.

Of course. But she is a well known singer and dancer. Those are two chops she clearly has.
I watch way too much TV. I teach high school so I'm pretty "in touch" with popular culture. Admittedly, I haven't turned on pop radio in about 4 years. I have never heard of this group.
I just googled them, and tried to find their songs. "Don't Cha" sounds vaguely familiar but I would have NEVER been able to tell you who sang it....
And from the sounds of this song, doesn't seem like I was missing out on too much. So while I appreciate your concern Biff, no need to feel sorry for me.
She went to my high school (a performing arts high school)! I like to throw that out there because I think she's fabulous.

She is fabulous but since the majority of this board is narrow-minded or their knowledge of music and singers is confined/limited to just show tunes and musical theater performers they really wouldn't have a clue. Updated On: 5/28/10 at 03:50 PM
Nicole was an acting major at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio and left after her junior year to audition for Pop Stars (Eden's Crush) on the WB. I'm assuming she would have been a musical theatre major, but the program didn't start until the class after hers (the first graduating class was '01). While at WSU she played a lot of musical roles including Velma in Chicago and I think Julie in Showboat. I was a freshman during what would have been her senior year, so I never met Nicole, but according to those who knew her, she was super talented as a singer, dancer, and actress :)
