Really? There was a very long rush line that morning and about halfway through the line they announced they were sold out of rush for both shows and many people left empty handed. Huh. Did they just...decide to sell more for the heck of it later on?"
Possibly, I’m not for sure. I just went in for the heck of it on my lunch break. Maybe unclaimed lottery tickets? And I know two other people got rush tickets right after me.

That's wild. I was one of the people who failed to get rush but ended up being a lottery winner's +1. Had that not ended up happening, I think I would've been a little peeved that rush was again sold later. But you're right that it may have been unclaimed lotto.
Just left rush this morning (Saturday). We got there around 7:30 and were 6-8 in line. Nobody else showed up before 8 and the line started getting long around 9. I’m not sure what the 2 groups in front of us got but we weren’t able to get any seats together for evening, it was 4 single seats. They aren’t marked partial view, I think E19, M16, H and P (similar side seats). We didn’t stick around to see how many people got tickets. Overall decent seats, just odd that they had nothing together so close to the front of the line on a 2-show day.

the rush has been so inconsistent and strange. i’ve rushed a few times and have tried to be first in line every time, since they’ve been giving ya front row as rush. so when i was first on saturday for the night show, i was confused when they gave us seats in side mezz. not sure what happened with the front row seats that they say they don’t sell and use for rush ? but i thought it was odd how few tickets they had for saturday night’s performance. i’ve also had friends who have gotten front row center tickets randomly, and i even came at 4 pm once and they released unclaimed lotto tickets to me as rush.
I did rush today. Was 5th in line and got there at 9:40am. I counted around 20-25 at noon. Got Orch Row R seats 2 and 4. The girls behind me got Orchestra Row O seats 24 and 26 I believe. Not sure who else got what.
Rushed for the matinee on 12/11/2019 at 10:11am and was able to get 3 tickets to sit Center Orchestra, Seats 102-104, Row A so directly in front of the stage, in the first row!

You were alone at the box office or had someone with you so as to get more than 2 tickets? How was the view from the front row?
I had one person along with me, and when it was our turn asked if there were 3 seats next to each other that were avaliable. The view was great. Having to turn look back and forth to watch all the action on stage, but still a great seating option! The sound wasn't too loud or anything like that. I will say that one of the actors does walk thru the front row in act 2.
I rushed this morning. Got there at 8.45am and was about 10th in line. Started getting really busy around 9.15-9.30am. Friend and I got seats for the evening performance but we have to sit separately - J19 and L27.

I rushed on Sunday. Got there around 8:20 and was first in line. Next people showed up about 10 minutes after me. The line was down to Shubert alley by the time the box office opened at noon.
Have they been selling SRO after they sell all the rush tickets?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I rushed the show on Thursday, January 9th. Got there around 7:20 AM and was second in line. The person before me got there at 7:00 AM, and the person after me got there around 8:15-8:30 AM. Then the line started picking up around 8:45-9:00 AM. I was given Right Orchestra (says ORCHO on the ticket) in Row N Seats 26 & 28, which are all the way on the side. I was kind of upset at first but it honestly was not that bad of a view. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Can't complain for $40 either! Planning on going to see it again in February so I will update when I return.
