Taylor Louderman’s honesty Sep 12

I have always had a great amount of respect for Taylor Louderman, and her recent statements have only strengthened that respect. It takes a great deal of courage to chase after a dream, but even more to admit that dream has changed.
I'm glad she was able to finish out a successful run and hopefully she will find something new that sparks joy for her.

BEYOND thrilled about Mariah. She's going to be phenomenal.
And so, so happy to see Jonalyn doing this. I had a gut feeling a while back, really excited to see her as Karen again!

Ditto that. The joy I get from this show is one of those rare theatrical experiences where I simply do not want it to end. As soon as it's over, I'm ready to see it again. I'll probably book the final Chicago performance for my fourth visit to the show."

A few months ago, on a whim after listening to the cast recording and really vibing with it, decided to take off a weekend in June, drive halfway across the country with some friends, and see this one. That was this weekend...and I ended up seeing it three times.
Worth every penny and every second. Truly one of the most fun and engaging shows I've ever seen. And the current Chicago cast is a real wonder; thrilled I got to see Sam Pauly before she jets off to London.
Really hopi

Every member of this cast is beyond lovely. So glad to hear about your daughter's experience. :)
I don't see how changing from two tickets to one will make any difference with this problem. If anything, it may exacerbate it. When you could get two tickets, one person could wait for both themselves and their friend and the second person wouldn't need to worry about being there at all. With a one-per-person limit and everyone responsible for themselves, I can only see the cutting-to-be-with-friends problem worsen.
This is an interesting choice, to say the least.

On the technical side, I think the mixing on this is just fantastic.
She doesn't look THAT young. Especially in person. When I first found out and didn't immediately connect that she was the girl from the Jimmys, I thought she was in her 20s. It won't be that off-putting.

Don't be silly. Hamilton is Ham. HT is Hadestown.

I worked with someone in this production on a previous project so I've been seeing this on my Facebook feed a lot lately from them. Was wondering the same thing myself. Hm.
So far in 2019 (some of these more than once and/or not for the first time):

I know several people who have gun-related PTSD and become severely distraught at the sound of gunshots. Having a heads-up would surely give them some peace of mind and allow them to enjoy theatre more.
How do you get through life letting yourself be affected by threads that may help other people? LOL
Anyway, OP, nice idea. I'll post when I think of any that

Come on, now. There's no need for that. People complain all the time about ageism on these boards towards older theatergoers, and while that's true and should be addressed, there's no need to meet younger theatergoers with disrespect,
