Being an adult has nothing to do with being a fan of something. 90% of the people on these boards are adults and we are all fans of theater and certain people in it. Loosen up.
OP, I don't personally believe there's ever an age where you're "too old" to send fan mail to someone you admire. I'm sure as long as it's respectful and appropriate, performers love hearin
Despite Turnaround, ‘Beetlejuice’ Being Forced ut of Theater Dec 15

For a message board that is constantly complaining about people being easily hurt and offended, the outrage over a dumb joke is astounding. The Music Man is still getting their theater in the end, so let Brightman have some harmless fun as I'm sure the situation is weighing on him. The line was lowbrow (though amusing) to begin with and I guarantee you those involved in The Music Man aren't losing any sleep over it.
Nearly all of the dialogue/jokes in act one now match that of the tour. There were little tweaks and cuts in act two, but for the most part it was left alone.
The only musical number altered was Where Do You Belong (one verse was tweaked, also to match the tour lyrics); It Roars, Fearless, and I See Stars (which were changed for the tour) have so far been left untouched. The cast members I spoke to made it seem like this would b
I'm also very interested to see what the reviews have to say about this one. I too personally enjoyed it a lot and would definitely put it among my favorites.

Really? There was a very long rush line that morning and about halfway through the line they announced they were sold out of rush for both shows and many people left empty handed. Huh. Did they just...decide to sell more for the heck of it later on?

All good! Comment was not directed towards you, someone just seemed to take my post as an attempt to negate yours which was not the case.
GreasedLightning said: "Not exactly... Not a single person I know who has seen this has enjoyed it. On or off the boards. "
On the contrary, everyone I've spoken to outside the boards has raved about it. It just seems like this will be another very divisive piece.
Fastedt way from midtown to Astor Place? Nov 12

I work right near Astor, and usually just hop on the R/W to get between work and a show. I don't think a Lyft is worth the pain of traffic.
This definitely ranks among my favorite theatrical experiences, despite its flaws. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and while I definitely recognize and can agree with some of the negatives brought up here (the book can be messy at times, things are wrapped up rather quickly at the tail end of act 2, etc. and perhaps some of this will be tightened throughout previews), I was able to overlook them and fall in love with the show and plan on making a few return trips. I know many friends and coworker

As someone said earlier on this thread, I just don't know who he's trying to sell this show to anymore. All of the promotion and the general vibe seems to be attempting to entice a younger demographic, but most were driven away/put off with the controversy of Ramasar's casting (myself included). But cutting two iconic pieces of the original is not doing any favors with the older demographic who are fans of the original material (I have heard nothing but complaints from several "average theatergo
JLP Rush? Nov 6

Perhaps I got too caught up with getting out of the cold and forgot to come back and post my seats, ha.
Orch G17 and G19 for this evening! There were about ten people on the line when the box office opened.
Just hopped on the rush line at about 8:15; only one other person ahead of me. Will update with seats.
Teeth / NAMT Festival Nov 6

I was there with an industry pass! IMO, Teeth was one of two standouts this year.
Honestly, did not know what to expect from an adaptation of...that movie, but I should never have underestimated Michael R. Jackson. What we saw of the show was absolutely hilarious, while also being thoughtfully written and providing a few songs that were stuck in my head for days afterward (I honestly still find myself singing the one Jared Loftin performed, I believe it was called "Born Again") (on that

Exactly. It was the one aspect of the show that was almost universally praised.
